I hope Obama is successful and doesn't fall into listening to his left wing. I don't thing he'll fall for "card check" until his second term if there is one, and I don't think he'll ignite a firestorm with the "Fairness Doctrine".
I say this because of the people he has surrounding him. It's not the idealogical left, rather pragmatists who see re election as the only worthy goal.
So much for "a chicken in every pot"...

Question is, are you and the other Obama worshippers big enough to admit when you're wrong?
Harder | The Silver lining is, at least, we don't have McCain and Palin to deal with. That's a BLESSING in itself.
I voted for Ralph, so , y'all can bicker all you want. Just call me "Pontius Pilate "

This has been very evident in this election, so it fits.
Auntie, you are a female and by your post, would you feel insulted to be called a feminst if you were pushing for equal treatment? In this case, you're soundly and strongly pushing Obama and seem to follow his words to the letter . . . wouldn't that make you a "worshipper" or Obama??? Same goes for the other followers of Obama, they listen to everything he says and don't question anything that comes out of his mouth.
You could justify the words fanaticism or fanatic's as well, in regards to Obama supporters.
Remember, I'm on the outside of the party system and weighing what I see in comparrison to what I've seen. The fact that McCain lost means he won't be shafting my fellow vet's and myself from the WH and only from the Senate until he retires, loses re-election, or dies.
Funny way of putting it is: I'm not happy that Obama won, but I'm happy McCain didn't win.

Harder | I'm sure he'll make mistakes; he's not the Messiah, after all. But the fact is that Bush spent the last eight years blaming everything on Clinton, so why not give Obama at least until Inauguration Day before you start piling on?

He owes the unions big for this election, it has a lot of support from the rank and file, and waiting until mid-term elections or later is likely to mean not passing it at all. He has to be bold from the start. (As for the "Fairness Doctrine", I think that's a bogeyman of the right wing; it's a dead issue.) |

I gave him 2 years Theo . . .
Okay, just to make ya' feel better . . . ya' can add the couple months between election and inauguration.
Remember Theo, I said what Obama creates on his own.
