At this rate he'll be lucky if it's only eight years.

Maximum of 4 years . . . if I calculate correctly.
My calculations are that Obama with be worse than Carter in the eyes of the majority and the Congress and Senate will put that view way over the top. End result will be a complete turn around in our Governent in 2012.
Mark this on yer' calenders Theo, Auntie, MTA, Pex, and Company!

You never know, it could be 16 years.

I encourage Republicans to rally behind this president-elect and openly express support for the call for change throughout our legislative and executive branches.
I encourage Democrats not to repeat the missteps made by Republicans by excluding thoughtful debate.

The Senate is a strange animal. Unlike the House, it is weighted to give the minority party exceptional power. And that's why we have these super-majority (and, to the public, usually hard to fathom!) thresholds like cloture and the filibuster.
| Ah, but now we see his agenda. He's worried the Dems will do what he threatened to do and kill the filibuster. Quote: |
Ever-rising health costs drive people to the ranks of uninsured. The 15 million hard-core uninsured need your immediate attention. There is nothing more intimate or more personal to any of us than the health of our loved ones. Don't let it slip to the back burner.
| My God, he almost sounds like a socialist.

Lets see, the problem is he has 8 years of Bushie to clean up after and 6 of those years of a Republican majority in Congress. Gonna take awhile to get that cleaned up. While I'm not an Obama "worshiper", even though I voted for him, I'm also not deluded into thinking this wil be a quick fix either.

Question is, are you and the other Obama worshippers big enough to admit when you're wrong?
Harder | Why do you feel the need to be offensive and insulting when referring to Obama supporters? I would never call you names based on your ideological beliefs. Or is my respect for you misplaced? |

I'm referring specifically to what Obama will be blamed for creating on his own.
