I am sure that my limited vocabulary is evident to all of the forum members here. Shall we find a timed vocabulary test online and see how we stack up against each other? You frickin' goober!! There you go. Not only did you frustrate me into saying frickin, you frustrated me into throwing down a silly internet challenge as well! (but I'm serious, you wanna go? Whatchu got LOL) "It also conveys that you are a person you have to be careful where you invite to"
Is that English? But you're right... I'm always standing up at funerals and shouting, "Where the fuck are my keys? Fuck! Did they fall in the fucking casket?"

Search every post I have ever made at TechIMO for a spelled out curse word. Actually, let me spare the server resources, as you are not going to find any results.
Curse words do not convey meaning or intent any better than a myriad of other words available in the English language. If anyone somehow thinks they do, might I suggest buying a thesaurus.
In other words, let me summarize with a common saying: Better to keep your mouth closed and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt. BTW, we also still have community standards, and quite frankly, this thread is about to run afoul of those standards.

I don't know, I used to really hate the word, but sometimes it is appropriate for emphasis, but that only works if it is used sparingly.
I sometimes watch BBC America television... OMG The Chef Ramsey show is peppered with profanity. Sometimes you miss what is said from all the beeps for the FCC
But it doesn't bother me, it's just part of his colorful character. Quote:

I disagree, Rob. Profanity has its place. I don't think using a curse word is necessarily related to whether one is "thought a fool." One can also overuse a thesaurus and be thought a pedant.
It's all a matter of degree, timing, and place.

It's all a matter of degree, timing, and place. | I think sometimes it is a way for someone that doesn't use it to feel superiour.
(I'm not talking about you Robert, nor anyone specific in this thread) I think it's interesting that some will talk trash about different classes of people (the poor and minorities) and then be on their high horse about how noble they are to not use profanity.. |
