So says this guy, who seems fairly unimpressed by the Honda Insight Hybrid.

So far, though, you have not been told what it’s like as a car; as a tool for moving you, your friends and your things from place to place.

So here goes. It’s terrible. Biblically terrible. Possibly the worst new car money can buy. It’s the first car I’ve ever considered crashing into a tree, on purpose, so I didn’t have to drive it any more.

I can see lots of uses for hybrids and electrics, mainly people who drive routes like the post office and UPS, etc. They know their daily mileage withing a few miles, so range isn't such an issue plus they are on the road a lot.

I could see a special program worked out for companies like this. Combined, they use a lot of fuel. But for myself, I'd hate to have to drive to Lake Tahoe from Sacramento poking along in a hybrid.

I need power!

Besides, how am I going to tow my yacht, named "Rich Republican"? And what will power it in the water?
