How about Joe Biden claiming asking for the website "number" for questions about the economic stimulus? Wait, what's the area code again? Do i have to dial a 1?
And when asked an honest question, he tried to claim that the stimulus package would stimulate small businesses - because if there was a bridge that was out, it would repair the bridge... and it would institute a policy that would require smart meters to be installed.
That was the "small business stimulus" in the stimulus bill.
This guy is your model of intelligence?

You can't even WIN graciously, let alone LOSE graciously! . . . . | I didn't start this thread, and I am more than happy for her to just GO AWAY!!!!
(And am also looking forward to the END of the MJ news cycle!)
So I am, indeed, finished with this topic . . .

Ya know, I think I'm going to wait and see what happens.
But somehow, I don't think she is going to ride off into the sunset...

What makes you think you're smarter? | I'm basing it on everything I've seen, and not on anyones analysis. I've seen very little of Tina Fey. What makes me think I'm smarter? That I can communicate intelligently for one. Quote: |
Are you honestly trying to convince anybody that the national media hasn't been up her ass - perpetuating false allegations, and refusing to clear the record when they're proven to be false? THAT's falling on deaf ears! There was an army of reporters doing nothing but puff pieces on Obama - or using their position to defend him, and an army of reporters doing everything they could to dig up or create dirt on Palin. The double standard on this is plain as day, and if you can't see it, but Bob Beckel can, you might be a LOT more biased than you THINK you are.
| AFAIAC, the national media hasn't been "up her ass" since the election. Not the media I pay attention to. To that end, I haven't any idea of what the false allegations you purport the national media has been perpetuating. As I said before, you are going to have an extremely hard time convincing me that her plummeting poll numbers in Alaska are the result of the national media liberal attack machine. Last I checked, Alaska wasn't known to be a liberal stronghold. Quote: |
And what does the number of schools have to do with anything. She moved around a lot. See, your guess is biased in and of itself.
| RE # of schools. Most people don't need to attend 4 different schools in order to obtain a communications degree. She moved around a lot? Yes, to go to different schools. I've never seen any explanation of that or any measure of her performance at those schools. Has she ever explained it? I admire her persevering through her learning difficulties. But that's about it. Quote: |
You can think that, and i'm sure you will from now until the end of your life... but she's done good things for alaska
| The price of oil did good things for Alaska. Quote: |
I want you to spend every waking moment defending yourself from frivolous lawsuit after frivolous lawsuit while it drains your finances and prevents you from doing anything else... all the while having the national liberal establishment mock and disdain you, and attack your family. Liberals are out there firing all guns, and then timidly asking - gee... why are you leaving? She had the GRACE to step down so that the people of Alaska could be served by a governor. THAT is caring about your people. That IS leadership. She took the attacks, and defended her family, none of which she should have to put up with - but when it came to being unable to serve the people of Alaska because she was being handcuffed by politically motivated lawsuits (something John Conyers did to Newt Gingrich btw) - she decided to step down. That's not quitting.
| I don't know anything about all the frivolous lawsuits she was defending herself against. The media I follow hasn't covered it. As far as I know, she was being attacked by Alaskans, not a national hit squad. Alaskans don't like her anymore. That's not a national problem.
She QUIT, cyphen. There's no way around it. |

Sarah Palin has no interests other than what she can get out of it, and like most people with sociopathic tendencies she get's ahead by the rat cunning they possess, and by using people.
She'll use her kids anyway she can if it gives her time in the spotlight
I'm really surprised that anyone claiming to be a conservative, would give such a damaged lightweight the time of day.
She doesn't have an ounce of credibility, and by sticking up for her, neither will you.
Of course she's resigned to set herself up for a run at a federal seat, or the GOP nomination in 2012. |

Well, maybe it's for the best.
Yeah, she might pull a Nixon. Recaill he did many favors for the Replicrats and when it came nomination time, they repaid him the favor.
Palin is sure to do fund raises and will probably make out a lot better out of office in AK than in office. Perhaps for her ambitions, she might have given a less rambling and professional address -- but who knows...maybe it just lent credance to her allegations of media/political abuse etc.
DOO OOG | Sad the politicians do in office what they need to in order to makes the buck$ when they get out.
That's why --well one of the reasons - Big Business is able to control the Gov't and its agencies.
Kinda dopey to get agitated about the latest exploits of Ms. Palin..BUT, the 20th century showed that all kinds of funky --even evil -people-- made it into high office. The easiest way to stage a revolution is to be elected.
The reality is that there is no certain way to know what people will do until after they've done it.
But the best single indicator is what they have done in the past --as far as that goes, which often isn't much.
