| Parents sue Walmart, Az state over pictures.
You know, sometimes a picture is just a picture. Quote:
A Peoria couple is suing Walmart and the state after they were accused of sexual abuse for taking bathtime photos of their daughters, according to court papers.
-snip-
Neither parent was charged with sexual abuse and they regained custody of their children, but the Demarees say the incident inflicted lasting harm.
In two separate lawsuits, the Demarees say the "slanderous claims" state officials made during the investigation caused them serious economic losses. They also claim to have since suffered "emotional stress, headaches, nightmares, a general feeling of malaise, shock to their nervous system, grief and depression." "This is a parent's worst nightmare," Treon said. "This is a serious incursion on people's lives and privacy."

Hm, what do you think? Can parents take pictures of their naked children? Should society ostracize everyone who has something that might be considered pedophilic?

We all know Big Brother is out there waiting to pounce on so-called 'irresponsible' parents. Recall the case of Adolf Hitler Campbell. Yes, of course the state is a better parent than...uhhh...the parents. Didn't you know that?
That being said, and knowing it to be true, why on earth would someone take any sort of questionable photo(s) to be developed at a store?

Because they are innocent pictures of children? Because it is normal and natural to want to cherish the memories that are lost all to quickly to time? Because the parents want pictures of their children? I can think of hundreds of more reasons for wanting pics of the moment.

Picture taking is fine...but why take it to a store to get it developed? Digital cameras are great for preserving memories and you can get photo store quality prints right at home.
I don't doubt that these photos meant no harm, but most people are so jaded today that they only think about the nefariousness of things. Do these parents just ignore societal evolution, or do they simply have innocent minds incapable of imagining this scenario being 'frowned' upon?

My wife and I have a few pictures of our son having his first bath and having his first bath in the regular "big boy" tub, etc, etc...
Moments you want to remember, because as no1_vern said, as parents, we want to cherish the memories like that.

I have pictures of myself that my parents had taken when I guess I was 2-3, sitting on a towel after having my bath with everything hangin' out. When i got older, we all laughed and have a lot of fun with that picture and many others. Nobody gave a damn back then.
I hope they bring them to their knees.

| Doesn't the fine print say these "daughters" were 15 and 17 Years Old
(j/k)
I have a good friends who's twin boys were taken away by CPS. One of em broke his own arm when he rolled over in his crib.
It was a real ugly nasty situation that my friend went through. BUT, she's was glad that her doctor ratted on her and that there are agencys that give a darn.
