that guy is a jackass isn't he? he has no idea about philosophies and can't abstract between what people do and what their philosophies are.
what you see is perfect propaganda, he puts up pictures of gulags to mix simple rhetoric to things they don't agree with.
but seriously, mao and theresa said basically the same thing, fight your own wars and they are both right, i really don't see why saying something like that is agreeing with what they have done, it's two different things.
that is where the american mind set comes in, because i can fully agree with marx idea of communism and most of the american people just see the USSR and castro but not the philosophy behind it
that is the biggest idiot and propaganda machine i've seen since limbaugh...

No, Creatures, the idiot is the one who defends a man who murdered 70 million people.
And that would be you. |

Where did you read a defense of Mao? I sure didn't. Maybe you could actually read what he wrote?

Creatures | They're the same...except one killed millions and the other helped millions(?). Just a subtle difference. |

The bottom line is if you disagree with the administration, they are coming at you hard. They are going to cut your legs off.
That's what's wrong with this administration, and coincidentally Mao. But it's not a problem for her. She admires his control over the population, the news media, and the military.
She belongs in China or Venezuela, not in a US government.

First of all, Who is Anita Dunn?
Now in regard to "abstract[ing] between what people do and what their philosophies are".[See below.]
I think I can do that:
in Existential philosophy, existence preceeds essence and one is what one does. "Man is a project."
Also there is the concept of Anxiety and Anguish: one is aware that one cannot take others actions as a template of one's own, yet one is aware that others may take one's own actions as a model for theirs. Mao as model?
In reading Karl Marx you may want also to read about his life, how he treated trade unionists, his family, or lived off a stockbroker named Engels, and was nearly incapable in writing das Kapital which needed Engels to complete vol II. Quote:

PS. The notion that one has to pick one's own battles or some such is a commonplace, scarcely original to Mao.
That of the many people --or nobody at all she could have selected to quote to make her point, she picked Mao is a blank screen --a projection object -- or a Rorschach test by which she displayed her own mindset.
As a Russian philospher, Mikhail Bakunin, wrote while in exile in Switzerland, "The smallest most innocent state is criminal in its dreams"
The same might be said of people,
Be careful where you plant your ideological flag, Creatures, you just might get what you wish for.
