| Epidemic, generally speaking 95% of the fuel a gasoline-powered car uses is for moving the car itself. The human cargo is about 5% of the weight of the vehicle, given that almost all the miles traveled in this country in personal autos are with a single passenger -- the driver -- and no other payload. That's an incredible waste of fuel. Almost any other method is more economical.
