Epidemic, generally speaking 95% of the fuel a gasoline-powered car uses is for moving the car itself. The human cargo is about 5% of the weight of the vehicle, given that almost all the miles traveled in this country in personal autos are with a single passenger -- the driver -- and no other payload. That's an incredible waste of fuel. Almost any other method is more economical.

Using the fact that some guy found an unexpected loophole in the bill to say that the liberals are fsking everything to hell and back is pretty irresponsible and irrational. I shouldn't expect better from you people, but I do. Go find something that's worth complaining about.

My point was mainly having these bills rushed through without it getting the scrutiny it needs and now we the tax payers end up forking out money for golf carts.

Actually I believe your fractions are off somewhat. moving the air out of the way of your vehicle accounts for more than 5% of the fuel used. Weight is a major factor especially in city diving.

it seems as if aerodynamic drag is the biggest loss factor at 50 kmh

of course you could be right as I cant find anything comparing weight vs windload.
