HM,

1 cheerleader = ONE family. We are talking MILLIONS of lives opposed to several dozen in this decade. ALL FUTURE generations will benefit from not having to go through what we are going through.

How does one weaken a live virus? Is it genetic manipulation or chemically injuring the virus?

Right. And if we're all dead, there won't be any anthropogenic greenhouse effect at all. So I suppose that's your preferred solution?

Silly not all dead. Just a whole lot dead. Small enough population and mans impact won't make much difference to the environment. PS I am not promoting this just I am a glass is half full kinda guy. I see the benefit even in bad situations. I mean I am not just going to suck on lemons when life gives em to me I am gonna make lemonade.

benefits of disease

smaller population
Stronger population
less burden on environment
less war (after things settle down)
cheaper housing.
more jobs

Measles (Rubeola) requires "Live attenuated measles vaccine" its the first one I think of.

After some googling I think there are 4 "live" vaccines still used today. The list includes yellow fever, measles, rubella, and mumps. There may be many others that I dont know about right off hand though.

The nasal spray for the current H1N1 Swine strain also contains a live virus.
