Apparently our good friend Major Hasan is alive.

Shame someone didn't happen to have a loaded gun on his person to dispose of this human waste before he killed as many as he did. If you can't trust our soldiers with guns on a base, then what the hell is this country coming to?

TRB if you only know how much gun there is on each soldiers building has on any military base you would not make that statement. Unlike civilians soldiers follow orders and pay for it if they don't.

If you are sitting on your ass waiting to get your teeth check for pre deployment checkup and listening to your Ipod, then someone comes in blasting away at you. There is not much you can do if it is your time to go.

Try carrying your weapon day in day for months, see how you would feel carrying a weapon on a secure area like Ft Hood. You would not. Trust me on that. Risk assessment is what the smart ones call it. Those guys that went to kollage like youse.

Sure, one or two or even three may have been shot...but he would've been stopped before the eleventh or twelfth. An armed populous would prevent massacres like this from happening.

What makes an army base a sacred place? Why are soldiers trusted with loaded weapons in an arena of war, but not at home base?

7 people dead 12 Injured, and some people here have nothing better to do than make this another DebateIMO thread. Armchair Generals telling us how it should have been done so it would never have happened, or been resolved with less loss of life.

I for one do not think this is the place to debate our Political beliefs/agendas. Stick to the facts mourn the loss. if you want to argue about the who , what, when , where , and why? go start a thread in Debateimo.

You need to talk to your senator or congressman for that or create/move to your own country big guy.

Personally I would not like to be the MP going to a barracks full of drunk GI's with loaded guns. You might but we know you got big balls.

List all the massacres ever and tell me what they have in common: one guy with a gun, and everyone else unarmed. It pisses me off because stuff like this can be prevented.
