Reid's "health" plan includes an abortion premium

Nancy Pelosi couldn't get away with it, but Harry Reid is trying to sneak a premium into one of the government health insurance policies to cover abortions.

Why shouldn't a government-run health insurance plan cover elective abortions when the health plan offered to employees of the Republican National Committee covers elective abortions? (At least until this hypocrisy got publicized.)
