45,000 Haitians in Florida
Earthquake Victims Could Be Headed To Florida - News Story - WSB Atlanta
ORLANDO -- Thousands of Haitian earthquake survivors could soon be calling Florida home.
The American Red Cross says there is a plan to bring as many as 45,000 evacuees from Haiti to Florida.
However, Orange County Mayor Rich Crotty says he has some concerns with the plan. When the Haitians arrive, the county, the city and possibly other area communities will have to scramble to figure out where to put the earthquake victims, and it will be a tough challenge.
As the United States plans its strategy to help Haiti, the state closest to the island nation is taking center stage with a plan to bring tens of thousands of refugees to Florida and approximately 4,000 to Orlando. What that influx of people brings with it is a very large service demand, particularly in the area of social services in what is already a tough economy. You people are you satisfied with this kind of world? I'm not.

Yes I do know. I never accused them of anything, but how do you think they will make a living? Many of them will probably be involved in drugs and prostitution if the govt cant provide enough for them. You people are you satisfied with this kind of world? I'm not.

Uhh...the Dominican Republic is right next door. Or how about they just shift 'em to parts of Haiti that didn't get hit by the earthquake? What a load of shit.

As a conclusion Americans already living there do drugs too and have unprotected sex with prostitutes, so the AIDS infection rate would be the same because I doubt just because there are more drug user and prostitutes the locals will start using them.
As far as I can tell the red cross suggests this but I highly doubt this will happen and if it happens they are probably going to pay for their stay. I doubt any state will accept refugees and pay for them.

I have no problem with them coming over on principle. The logistics of the situation would be very awful, however.Good job, friend-of-friends!
