This is all part of the GE play. GE is the expected recipient of a lot of stimulus money, plus a lot of Tarp (GE capitol), a buttload of money on Cap n Trade. They own NBC and MSNBC. Don't strain your wrist connecting the dots.

Is it just me who finds this highly disgusting what is going on over there? freedom of speech is all nice and fine but when you distort the truth like that all the time and sell it as the truth something is wrong...

GE is a a proven supplier to the Iranians. They have soldiers blood on their hands and this thread attempts to promote GE lies. they need the climate contracts to stay afloat. Their CEO is scum of the worst order.

Sarah, do you have a crush on Rachel Maddow? She's already in a committed relationship.

It may be wrong, but the marketplace of ideas is vital to American democracy.

Take it from someone who has done a little bit of work in the broadcast industry. What you are suggesting is nearly impossible and clearly shows that you have no real idea of what happens to get a show on air. There is no way in hell that GE told MSNBC (which is co-owned by Microsoft, so are you claiming Bill Gates is an accomplice?) who told Maddow, who told her producer, who told the script writer, and everyone went along with it. SJ's 9/11 conspiracies are more valid.

I'm guessing you consider Bill O'Reilly a legitimate source of information? GE has "supplied" Iran, and it is proven, but not in the context you claim.
Under growing criticism from the public and its own shareholders, GE announced in 2005 that it would accept no new business in Iran and would wind down existing contracts, which mostly involved sales of oil, gas and energy and health-care equipment. The remaining work, valued at less than $50 million, amounts to less than .01 percent of GE's income, and the company says the final four contracts will expire within weeks.
While we're bitchin' about evil companies, how about Halliburton's 40 million dollar per year contract with Iran for providing oil field services?

Nice deflection, Chuck. I noticed that you didn't contradict Maddow's report that shows the ACORN pimp/prostitute scandal was bogus. According to the report, it was a slight of hand created by careful editing.

Hey Voogru, when you accept federal funds you are under a set of laws. 12 states have charges pending, they have convictions against people in this group. To let you in on a special secret before the deceivers say they have not been convicted. When you plea bargain a case that is the same as a guilty plea and the same as a conviction in the eyes of the law. It is counted as a conviction. They are guilty of voter fraud and abetting criminal acts. They have refused to open their books which became public domain the instance they accepted a dime of public money. Now they run and hide under different names to continue an on going criminal enterprise. ACORN is guilty. They have been caught red handed.

Ya! What ever became of the dumpster full of discarded Acorn documents? Has to be some good stuff in there.
If Acorn was really a good group and this setup was as bogus as we are trying to be convinced it is, the politicians would not have stopped funding. They know the jig was up and best way to save face was to de-fund it.
That de-funding would not have happened if Acorn was legit.

So, what you are saying is that it isn't possible that politicians got caught up in the hysteria brought on by the bogus video?

Since when are facts important to Democrats? ACORN is criminal organization with a mission to steal as much money as it can, and direct as many fraudulent votes as possible to friendly candidates to keep the money flowing.

There comes a point when even politicians can't stand the smell.

My read is that a couple of the videos are questionable, but the rest are not.

The most interesting thing was the effort of the MSM to ignore the story, until (by dripping them out gradually) the public uproar was too loud to ignore.

A federal judge has reaffirmed her earlier ruling blocking the congressional effort to defund the anti-poverty group ACORN. On Wednesday, Judge Nina Gershon cemented her decision from last year that such action amounted to an unconstitutional bill of attainder. Judge Gershon has asked all federal agencies to allow ACORN funding without delay.

Oh you mean it is like them calling the tea party folk a bunch of racists but this time without any evidence?

How about their claims that Palin and other Republicans are deliberately inciting violence and again without any evidence.

Brooklyn DA Press Releases* March 2010
“On September 15, 2009, my office began an investigation into possible criminality on the part of three ACORN employees. The three had been secretly videotaped by two people posing as a pimp and prostitute, who came to ACORN’S Brooklyn office, seeking advice about how to purchase a house with money generated by their ‘business.’ The ‘couple’ later made the recording public. That investigation is now concluded and no criminality has been found.”
    NY Daily News --
according to a law enforcement source."They edited the tape to meet their agenda," said the source.
