The Gulf, The Oil, The Chemicals, and The Storms

I'm not sure if there's any controversy over what effect the storms will have in regards to picking up dispersants, oil, methane, and other pollutants from the oil spill since I tend to follow a relative path in my readings and thus don't get much MSM, however there is certainly some concern from many well qualified people. I do not aim to create a panic or spread misinformation, but it is important for gulf inhabitants to be aware of the situation and prepared as evacuation due to not just storm elements but also toxins within the ocean is a very real possibility.

I've been using floridaoilspilllaw to follow much news regarding the spill, and they have been posting issues regarding possible or likely evacuations. Even though it's early in the hurricane season we already have storms & depressions with the potential to push toxic air and water further on shore than would otherwise be possible. If you have other sources for staying informed on the situation there are many of us who would appreciate your posting them.

The full extent of the health hazards seem to be somewhere between generally unknown and hazardous in both short-term and long-term issues. While the EPA stated just a month ago that there are no ill-effects from the spill making it ashore and BP has been trying to make it appear as though even those working within the immediate area of the spill's contents are in no danger we have a history of BP lying and even our own EPA being corrupt beyond usefulness in such situations as they seem to be more concerned with image and keeping up appearances and morale rather than taking the safety route. Perhaps you could look at it as them looking out for the economic and political environment rather than human or earthly health.
