WikiLeaks nominated for Nobel Prize
Wait, what? Exposing government shenanigans deserves a Nobel Peace Prize nomination??
WikiLeaks, yes, WikiLeaks has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.nominated WikiLeaks for the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize, saying Wednesday that its disclosures of classified documents promote world peace by holding governments accountable for their actions. They say technology slows down for no one. I know it outruns my wallet. I figure its because my wallet isn't light enough yet.

A peace prize for destabilizing relations between countries at odds with each other anyway, and possibly leading to war?
Obama: The rich have the Federal Reserve and the poor have Harry Reid... LOL. Life really is unfair!

A prize for exposing to the world the double dealing that goes on behind our back everyday. As I posted before, if people were on the up & up, there wouldn't be a WikiLeaks, now would there be ??????
The evil that men do, etc, etc, etc. Now we know before they die. KOOL !!!!!!!
There ain't gonna be no war, Chuck. Just a multitude of dudes with their credibility blown. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of low lifes.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iE9TN...eature=related

I wish the internet had a mirror so people could see what they're really like instead of what they believe themselves to be like.
Of course since it's the internet we can still pretend to be all-knowing, all-seeing warriors for truth, even if we know how rotten and fallible we really are.
Alas, with so many people believing the world is black and white, they simply can't imagine how Wikileaks could be either bad or good because it's obviously just the opposite! Try flipping the coin for a change and to understand why the Nobel committee picked them for the honor of being a candidate.
I'm not sure if I support Wikileaks myself, but I sure as hell can't imagine blatantly denying its original purpose is sound and worthy.
Aw, look what you guys made me do.

If it's sound and worthy, why are you unsure if you support it?
Hey, I'm pro-wikileaks! I'm having a blast reading them. But I'm not certain that whats been revealed is worthy of the damage it may cause in foreign relations. Nothing I've read leads me to distrust politicians, advisors or military personnel any more than I already did.
Sound like wikileaks? The question we have to ask is who has done the most in the previous year to enhance peace in the world,” the Nobel committee chairman, Thorbjorn Jagland, said
After the Obama debacle, somewhow the NPP doesn't seem quite as honorable.Last edited by zen; February 3rd, 2011 at 10:02 AM.

LOL. As Zen just pointed out, the Nobel Peace Prize has lost any shred of credibility it had when it awarded Obama with the honor only one year into an uneventful presidency.
Wikileaks is infinitely more deserving of the Peace Prize, but then again, so is any positive number compared to zero.
