Phil Ochs, thou shouldst be living at this hour
From the latest Public Policy Polling study of Mississippi Republican voters:
Q14 Do you think interracial marriage should be
legal or illegal?
Legal............................................. .................. 40%
Illegal .................................................. ........... 46%
Not sure .................................................. ....... 14%In judging a two-person singing contest, never award the prize to the second soprano having heard only the first.

So much for conservatives believing in individual rights.
Conservatives: "If the facts disagree with our opinion, ignore the facts -- or at least misrepresent them."

I meant it as I said it. According to Question 15, 76% are conservatives:
Q15 Would you describe yourself as very liberal,
somewhat liberal, moderate, somewhat
conservative, or very conservative?
Very liberal ................................................. 4%
Somewhat liberal ............................................ 4%
Moderate.......................................... .......... 17%
Somewhat conservative.......... ............................. 36%
Very conservative ........................................... 40%
Conservatives: "If the facts disagree with our opinion, ignore the facts -- or at least misrepresent them."

So it applies everywhere? To all states? To all countries?
EDIT: what's their definitional structure for "liberal" and "conservative"? It seems they have none, making the information worthless because it lacks a means of determining the actual demographics of the supposed supported opinion. It's a very poor survey, as are most public opinion surveys. Getting your panties in a twist about it is a silly thing to do, given the actual lack of information that this survey has.Last edited by tony_j15; April 8th, 2011 at 08:19 PM.
Good job, friend-of-friends!

tony, those are self-described labels. Maybe I should have said Mississippi conservatives.
Conservatives: "If the facts disagree with our opinion, ignore the facts -- or at least misrepresent them."

That was me last night. I was tired, but I could not go to sleep. I took meds at ~6:00AM, then finally went to sleep.
