Michele Bachmann denies benefiting from government aid
Michele Bachmann: GOP presidential hopeful Bachmann fends off allegations - latimes.com
My husband and I did not get the money," she said, appearing on Sunday news talk shows as she prepared to officially open her campaign in her original hometown of Waterloo, Iowa
As the Los Angeles Times reported on Sunday, however, in financial disclosure forms, Bachmann reported receiving between $32,503 and $105,000 in income from the farm, at minimum, between 2006 and 2009.
Bachmann also was asked about the farm subsidies on CBS' "Face the Nation." She suggested the public instead should be more outraged about a sharp increase in government limousines in the two years since President Obama took office."
Nice try at shifting the attack.

Last I heard, and I'm not defending Bachmann, Farm subsidies were legal . . . and not necessarily considered Government aid. I know my sister and her husband received Federal payments to not plant crops on some of their land for a number of years . . . would that be considered "Government aid"?
They could have planted and survived, but the Government asked them not to plant.

Nearly ever business that is either farming, envionmental, or medical in nature gets some form of subsidies.
I appreciate you sticking to the DNC script - hit them hard and early.Obama: The rich have the Federal Reserve and the poor have Harry Reid... LOL. Life really is unfair!

Bachmann's got a big bullseye painted on her chest by the leftist media. Even bigger than Palin, which is why I feel Palin won't engage in the presidential campaign. She'd rather sit on the sidelines. Informed voters don't want to see negative campaigning, they want positive, proactive substance. However, 21st Century politics is politics, and apparently it's all about smear and not substance concerning BHO's possible competition.

Bachmann would be the start of a theocracy or at least a good try at creating one. She would have more court dates then OJ.

Bachmann is an idiot who makes stuff up as she goes and fabricates stories as she sees fit. She's her own (and the republican party's) worst enemy!

I love Toby Keith. Well not like a love, love guy thing. But, I can relate to that song. It's kinda funny that age wise I'm considered a sexagenarian. However, at my age, my sex capabilities ain't what it used to be. Who the hell ever came up with the term sexagenarian for someone my age anyway?

That she's a woman has nothing to do with it, you're the one focusing on that Chuck. Gingrich says some pretty stupid crap too, as do many Democracts. Her problem is that she says/makes up completely moronic things and believes the stuff she makes up.
The fact that the righties listen to her says a lot...The timing of death, like the ending of a story, gives a changed meaning to what preceded it. -Mary Catherine Bateson-

Hate ta' break this to ya' kid . . . lefties listen to her all the time too! Difference is, they listen to see what her newest gaff will be.

Personally, I've never heard her speak . . . and the only place I've even bothered to read about her, is in the TIMO Debate forum.

A few pop-up instantly, like when she said Obama's trip cost $200 million per day; her claim that health care cost rises, which have been rising for decades, is because of health reform; the founding fathers, who owned slaves, worked feverishly to end slaver, etc.
I'm sure someone compiled a list but we know you really don't want to know because you want to be a loyal lemming.Last edited by MTAtech; June 30th, 2011 at 06:22 PM.
