    Flash cookies are deleted by an addon I have for Firefox called better privacy. Web bugs are blocked with an addon called noscript and better privacy.

    Yes it matters if you use their DNS or not.

    I use similar plugins. I know that they are not 100% effective. Especially with web bugs. You are relying on the filters being up to date. The filters can only be up to date after the bug has proliferated across the web. Right? they can't identify something that didn't exist and the web bugs are elegant in their simplicity.

    And the flash cookies are only destroyed after you are done browsing. All the while you are active they are busy tracking and logging and following everything you do.

    As for your ISP... how is it that the company that is actively bringing data to and from your house has no idea what you are doing?

    I imagine if it were their own DNS servers they would know a lot more sense that's where an IP resolves into a domain name.
