WWII Veteran Says Nobody Helped Him After He Was Carjacked | Fox News

"I'm crawling and trying to get in the filing station. [People] just walking right by me and going on in the filling station there ... If I saw somebody crawling like that on the ground, I would have stopped myself," Brantley told myFOXdetroit.com

He said he was on way home from Bible study when he stopped to put gas in his 2010 Chrysler 200, which he recently bought to replace another car that had been stolen.

Man, this REALLY gets me fired up !!!!!!!!

I'm glad this happened in "DE Troit ", though !!! In NYC, LA, or New Orleans , the poor man would have been mugged or ,even, raped or worse.
Too bad he didn't have his Army issue Colt 45.

The problem is homeless people, dirty and filthy, often beat up and in need of care are all over the place. They are getting as common as pigeons, depending on where you are.

How can you just assume someone is a victim of a crime and needs help and not a homeless person who is carrying diseases they haven't found names for yet - or could be crazy and waiting to bite you!

And the other question, why didn't the victim cry out to "call 911" which would alert people to the fact that assistance was needed.

Your attitude is jaded and just plain SUCKS Chuckie!

If I see an elderly person on the ground . . . I will stop whatever I'm doing and see what's going on. I don't care if they are clean or dirty, red/yellow/black/white, male or female, Christian or not. An elderly person on the ground is still an elderly person on the ground!

That is how every zombie infection Gets rolling. You see some old guy just looking like he neads help and poof he takes a chunk out of your leg.

Don't help old apparently injured people, they could be zombies!

Personally I endure the risk on occasion. I have helped out a couple people on the street for misc reasons from accidents to water emergencies. I take the risk.

It all depends on the circumstances and the visual picture created by the description. I saw it as high crime slum gas station to me, and a white guy getting involved is a good way to get hurt. I'm thinking of Oakland, where I made a few 911 calls when I was in sales and witnessed some crazyness.

And then we have the matter of the owner or clerk on duty no at least picking up the phone. Sound like they were afraid to come out of their bullet proof cage.

I probably would not find myself in such a place. Good Samaritans get shot, too. Go ahead, be a hero. One more dead honky in the ghetto.
