If that doesn't convince you that all US media are pushing nationalist propaganda, nothing will.

NO! And their names still don't mean anything to me . . .
What happened to them and getting to the bottom of what happened, on the other hand, is very important to me and I do care about that!
I don't care about the names of someone killed in a car accident in ND on Mar. 16th either. If it's a friend or family member, I will be notified. Now, if they were killed because the gas pedal stuck and caused a head-on with a school bus . . . I would like to see a proper investigation and something done.
If you're going to cry over names . . . just shoot yourself and put the world out of its misery. You'll be crying for the thousands killed everywhere in the world, that have died needlessly.

I'll go along with the way the Bullshit media works. But did my buddy who got killed by a shoe box bomb in Nam , have any importance to the kid who set him up???
I hope they RIP and this soldier gets due justice for this senseless taking of life.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iE9TN...eature=related

There are a lot of questions to be answered and information to be filled in yet . . .
The information of evidence released so far looks to be pretty damning . . . but, he is still innocent until proven guilty. I would hope the truth comes out and if he's guilty, he's properly punished. If it happened because the system failed him . . . I hope this will highlight the system problems and prevent something like this from happening again.
I have many questions, I'd like to see answered . . . and they don't deal with his innocence or guilt.

Harder: The System has FAILED all of us.
Just in varying degrees. You , yourself ARE a victim of this System. I fully can understand and have empathy for all involved.
This guy, through the system's fault, his own fault and the Army's fault, wound up in a position that overwhelmed his financial and psychological well being.
Now, the folks who died and got wounded have irreversible scars, his wife is without a husband and his child , if her identity isn't protected, will live a life of being the child of that soldier who went off and caused the ramifications that we haven't even realized yet. Very Sad, indeed.....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iE9TN...eature=related

No, I did not think about their names. I had assumed that the names were kept out of the press pending notification of the families. Sort of like here, where a persons name is not released first thing, but only after a family member and or court have authorized the release.

Guilt is a matter of the law. The facts of what happened are obvious, and pickel's statement is accurate.

DO You have the facts already too???

Why doesn't the UCMJ authority have it yet?
As of yet, all any of us have, is what has been reported by the MSM . . .
No, I'm not saying he is innocent and I'm not trying to cover for him! I'm not even saying he might not be guilty. WHAT i AM SAYING IS, LET'S WAIT UNTIL MORE FACTS COME OUT AND/OR THIS TRIAL IS IN PROGRESS!

I agree 100% with the above.
I don't need names to feel empathy for the families and the horrible last seconds of those this asshole killed.
Millions of people die every year, many unexpected untimely deaths among their ranks. I really don't want the life history of each one. It is kinda irrelevant to me.
I listed the dead among the ranks of humans taken before their time in my minds. It is far more interesting to know who did this attrocity, what happened, how it happened, how do you avoid it and if justice is served.
Personally I am guessing that justice won't be served as they have wisked him out of theater and will probably not execute him. Justice was probably lost when they decided not to give him to the local authorities. Personally I believe the crime was comitted on their soil, with out military directive, as such he should have been subject to their laws.Last edited by Epidemic; March 21st, 2012 at 08:52 AM.

"I don't care about the names of someone killed in a car accident in ND on Mar. 16th either."
I think a multiple homicide is a bit different than a car crash in ND.
I'm with Pickel on this one. He should have been handed over to the Afgan’s as this was a rogue action on their turf. When those who believe in any of the available gods understand why they deny all other gods, they should come to understand why atheists lack a belief in theirs.

Then both you and pickel are ignorant of International law . . . You are also ignorant of U.S. law . . . and finally, you are ignorant of Military law.
Do some research and rejoin the conversation to enlighten others with your new found education.
Would you care to guess why it is a violation of International, U.S., and Military law???

I am NOT a lawyer and could care less what laws apply here. If I need legal advice,I'll have wife check with her Boss or one of the other attorneys where she works.
All I DO care about is whether JUSTICE is being served and the offenders are punished in proportion to their crimes.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iE9TN...eature=related

I could care less about the interpretation of the law as seen by the USA in this case. The infraction was comitted in their land, against their people, and not in the course of doing his job (he was not directed to do so)
If an afghan shows up in NY and shoots up a housing complex he will be subject to US and NY laws. If he was an afghan soldier and does the same I would still like to see him punished here.
You may be technically correct that the law precludes him from being handed over. But in this case the law is wrong. It either needs to be rewritten or an exception should but made.

My rule of thumb is, unless you were physically present and witnessed it yourself, the word "fact" is always taken with a bit of salt, always, even in the history books as we've all learned over time.
More investigations need to be done at this point until we can point the finger with 99.9% certainty.Main PC: AMD FX-8350 / 16gb DDR3 1600 / AMD 7970GE 1200mhz Core & 1600mhz Mem / Win7 Pro 64bit
