We must share the Xs and Os
Congressman Ruppersberger:Ruppersberger himself insisted that CISPA's sole purpose was allowing companies and the government to share "formulas, Xs and Os, the virus code".
the representatives near-unanimously amend CISPA to include these brand new targets of bodily harm and child exploitation, which have nothing to do with cybersecurity and which have rarely if ever been mentioned in relation to the bill.
explicitly endorses the exact things people were worried the government would do with that language—as in, start using the data to investigate and build cases against American citizens without regard for the laws that would normally protect their privacy.
BTW:Anyone want to tell me what bodily harm and child exploitation has to do with Governmental "cybersecurity"??They say technology slows down for no one. I know it outruns my wallet. I figure its because my wallet isn't light enough yet.

Pretty typical! No where does "protecting people from harm, protecting children from exploitation" relate to "protecting networks and systems from disruption, hacking and malicious code"
What's worse is the position from supporters that our government is some how angelic and would never use a law against its own citizens
Now, critics of the bill have of course been saying all along that it could be used for things way beyond this stated cybersecurity purpose. But the response from supporters has been consistent: no, it can't, and even if it can, it won't be.
