I would think, given the opportunity, a lot of them might want it.

The biggest problems is ending cooperation between the federal government and Arizona.
Now the border is wide open to anyone who cares to cross it. Anyone can say their name is Juilo Sanchez, and walk away.
I can't believe this is happening. Obama has basically told Arizona to F-off. The border is open, get used to it. Any one Arizona detains and turns over to ICE will be immediately released.
Is this what everyone wants?Obama: The rich have the Federal Reserve and the poor have Harry Reid... LOL. Life really is unfair!

Timing issue there. That was meant for Chuckie and you jumped in ahead of me (check the post times, within a minute).
But it works even better the way it is.
I didn't realize having empathy for the position some people find themselves in after being brought into this country as children as being a "bleeding heart". Seems more like logic and ethics to me. But then again, I'm dealing with someone who refuses to see this situation in anything other than black and white and who absolutely refuses to consider the situation in anything beyond the current legally defined context without any regard to ethics or justice. But we've been through all that before.Good job, friend-of-friends!

Obama has suspended immigration law. Get it?
The Arizona border is open to all comers. Get it?
No one at ICE will answer the phone for an "Identity check". Get it?
No... you don't get it.

I assumed you did, since you were the one calling him names.
Ugh, I know, right! How silly that someone have feelings of compassion, sympathy or empathy! Especially when it comes to children! That is just terrible, and worthy of name calling.

Let me correct several inaccuracies:
The Court did not end cooperation between the federal government and Arizona. They can cooperate all they want. What it did end is Arizona making its own immigration policy irrespective of federal law.
No, he has not. In fact, Obama has deported more aliens than any previous president. What Obama did do is decide that any long-standing alien in this country under good behavior could stay. That's far different than what you said, suspending immigration law.
If you are complaining about Obama's use of executive orders, let me give you a flashback:
GEORGE W. BUSH (3/3/2004): So I got a little frustrated in Washington because I couldn't get the bill passed out of the Congress. They were arguing process. ... Congress wouldn't act, so I signed an executive order. That means I did it on my own. (Bush's audience applauds)Last edited by MTAtech; June 27th, 2012 at 12:26 PM.

A cop cannot do a "status check" via radio or check fingerprints at the border check point when he suspects "Jaime Rodriquez" may be an alias, but he has a Mexican ID with Jaime Rodriguez written on it. If he sees a "Zetas" tattoo on the guy - in plain sight - then the fed's will help, they say.
Obama has suspended the part where it says "to reside in the USA you must be a citizen or on a green card or visa."
I think Obama has pissed off more people than he pleased. I understand the unions are all that thrilled with the job competition, and it's only playing well with the college crowd and Hollywood in California.
And I don't care what Bush did. I'm more concerned with our changing demographic and declining prosperity in the nations middle class.Obama: The rich have the Federal Reserve and the poor have Harry Reid... LOL. Life really is unfair!
