This is why I tossed a password on my dad's and her roommate's wireless. These things aren't just funny anymore, they're really happening all over the country.

Exactly... I stress this to everyone I know. If it wasn't for two pc's in my location being too far from the router, I'd strictly be on ethernet cables.
    Main PC: AMD FX-8350 / 16gb DDR3 1600 / AMD 7970GE 1200mhz Core & 1600mhz Mem / Win7 Pro 64bit
    File Server: AMD Opteron 180 / 3gb DDR400 / Nvidia 6200 / WinXP Home 32bit / Lubuntu 12.10
    Laptop: HP-Compaq nc8430/ Intel CoreDuo T2400 / 2gb DDR2 667/ Ati x1600 / WinXP Pro 32bit

What Whir & SoloCam said. Password everything. (Yes even that...)

Only reason for home wireless now a days seems to be... I can't really think of one.

At work the only reason for the wireless is our dispatchers and mechanics laptops (both still insist on using their own).

I think a 100grand for the owners of the wrong house would be nice compensation
Imagine a world where dogs took bad owners to the pound...

Unless the threat refers to a specific action at a specific time, it is free speech. As such, the police would have no right to execute a warrant.
Second, why would you even approach the situation that way? Just send an officer and a dectective up to the residence and do a little person to person Q&A.

Just another day in the good ol' US police state.
    Good job, friend-of-friends!
