Romney gifts Israeli PM a Glazed Ham
Romney’s Gaffes Worsen in Israel : The New Yorker
The Mitt Romney Gaffe Express pulled into a new station today, leaving its conductor’s hopes of proving himself to be a nimble statesman in tatters. Mr. Romney’s troubles began in a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, to whom he presented gifts of a HoneyBaked ham and a wheel of cheddar cheese.Conservatives: "If the facts disagree with our opinion, ignore the facts -- or at least misrepresent them."

Before beginning his evening of "Special Olympic" Bowling Obama said I am glad no one spoke of "my muslim faith" went on to visit the 57 states in a whirlwind tour of America where he told every successful business owner he met that they were nothing special and they did not create their businesses. He stopped in one town to visited and spoke with the 9988 members of the community who were killed by a Kansas tornado.
From there, Barak Obama went into a high level meeting to shift Iraqi interpreters to Afganistan. He feels that tiny countries like Iran are no threat beyond the grave threat they pose to America.

It didn't immediately occur to me that it was fake, either.
Speaks volumes about his campaign.
You know, I don't mind the "real" Mitt Romney. He has a pretty good track record overall and I think he's more qualified than Obama to rejuvenate a stagnating economy. But this campaign is making him look like a desperate fool. Are these gaffes all a ruse to make him look an idiot? A regular blowhard that the average Joe would like to have a beer with? I can't imagine any of this looks good to swing voters. I'm half expecting him to announce Bristol Palin as his running mate at a gun show in Alaska, sponsored by Chick-Fil-A.
Get a grip, man.

I thought it was real, too. I don't think Romney is all that savvy. He's transparent and another empty suit. Nothing he does is unrehearsed or polled or calculated. At least when GWB flubbed you knew he was acting how he was; not how his handlers wanted. Both of these candidates are chameleons; slippery, slimy, and highly mutable. Their knowledge about anything is questionable beyond the talking points and the "hot topics". Ask 'em serious stuff about the Fed or the Euro crisis or actual tax reform, and they just revert back to pre-programmed recordings.

you contradict yourself. If he is purely a product of his handlers and carefully rehearsed then he would not have made the mistake.
Do I believe a candidate might make a mistake and say something wrong were it not for his handlers? Sure that is possible. I am not saying Romney is so unworldly as to have not known Jews probably don't want ham. I also find that to be unlikely. Just based on him being a christian he would most likely know that jews are not big pork product fans.

The media isn't training anyone. The more we learn of Romney the more he looks like a cartoon character buffoon.
Even the most devoted Romney apologist must realize that Romney's own mouth, and not the media, is responsible for us expecting these type of missteps -- like presenting a ham to the Israeli PM. We wouldn't be surprised if on a visit to Mexico, Romney asked the President of Mexico to carry his bags.Conservatives: "If the facts disagree with our opinion, ignore the facts -- or at least misrepresent them."

August 3rd, 2012, 10:23 AM #20You aren't kidding anyone. You know better than most that the democrats push is to keep white voters home to counter the tepid numbers in groups that came out for him before.

Obama's only option is to try to make Romney toxic enough that a significant number of white voters stay home rather than vote for Romney. Essentially Obama is going to try to fight to a draw and win by default.
If Obama gets much less than 40% of the white vote, he's cooked.Obama: The rich have the Federal Reserve and the poor have Harry Reid... LOL. Life really is unfair!
