Krauthammer,Obama Delivered One Of The Emptiest Speeches I Have Ever Heard

CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER: I was stunned. This is a man who gave one of the great speeches of our time in 2004, and he gave one of the emptiest speeches I have ever heard on a national stage. Yes, it had cadence, and yes, there were deceptions in it, but that is not what is so striking about it. There was nothing in it. This is a man who believes that government can and should do a lot. There is nothing in here that tells us how he's going to go from today to tomorrow. For any of the so called goals and what government is going to do, what is he going to enact?

At least Romney had a five point plan. What we heard from Obama was a vision. And he pulls numbers out of a hat. 100,000 new math and science teachers. 600,000 more people working in natural gas. Two million more trainees, and he doesn't say how we get from A to B. It's a vision. I have a vision of an America where there is no disease and everybody has a private airplane, but unless I tell you how we get there, I’ve said nothing. And what is so surprising, is that - all he had left - he can't speak about his record on the economy, and it's not a good one. As we heard, he didn't speak about achievements, the one that's liberals like, ObamaCare, stimulus and etc… they're unpopular.

So, at least he would talk about the future, what he's going to to. There was nothing there. I’m amazed that he was -- it was like this is a guy who is the A student in the class turning in a paper clearly a C, and the teacher says, “How could you do this? Why did you mail it in?” I felt the Biden speech was infinitely better, because it was empathic and carried a message, but the Obama speech, I thought was flat and had no content in it. Otherwise, I loved it, really…

I watched it... Not nearly as good as 2004 which got him on the national stage by telling everyone what they wanted to hear.

This one is just a bunch of fluff no meat. "Where's the beef?" is a more than fair question to ask.

Bottom line, Obama is out of ideas so he just threw out a bunch of words.
Obama: The rich have the Federal Reserve and the poor have Harry Reid... LOL. Life really is unfair!

The essence of Obama's speech: " We've done better than you think. Who are you going to believe, me or your lying eyes?"

    That Krauthammer cracks me up!!!

Ex-Bush Aide On How Bill Clinton's Speech Bested Mitt Romney's - The Daily Beast

I'm surprised there aren't more posts about Bill Clinton's electrifying speech and the fact all the fact-checkers have given him a "mostly true" (unlike Republicans' "pants on fire"). There are literally thousands of articles on the Big Dog's speech - all praising him to the skies. Even Fox News couldn't find anything negative. Now they're busy trying to claim Bill Clinton is a closet Republican!

    FactCheck.org : Our Clinton Nightmare

The worst we could fault him for was a suggestion that President Obama’s Affordable Care Act was responsible for bringing down the rate of increase in health care spending, when the fact is that the law’s main provisions have yet to take effect.

I watched Berry's speech on Fox and saw Krauthammer talk about that. I like Krauthammer, he tells it the way it is.

I like how even MTA implicitly agrees that Obama's speech was junk and tries to draw our attention away by waxing eloquent about Clinton.

Obama's speech was boilerplate at best.

Huh? The subject was Big Dog's speech. I said nothing, explicitly or implicitly, about Obama's speech.

Allow me. For one he said he would cut the deficit in half, but he spent 5 freaking trillion dollars. Where's the shovel ready jobs? About 80,000 people just stopped looking for work.

How can ANY man get anything accomplished when we have uncooperative agitators like this doing all they can to destroy one man instead of doing their job they were elected to do.

George Bush Jr. not only could . . . but did!

That's leadership, management, and business skills Obama was lacking from Day 1.

Hell, even Sarah Palin had more leadership, management, and business skills and was known for pushing her agenda through, when challenged by the opposition.

You know damn well ,Harder, the event on 9/11/01 was the driving force for bi-lateral cooperation for many years until we found out how much of a LOSER Dubya was. And there is NO Denying that !!

I'm not denying that at all OLD MAN!!!

But, you also can't deny the Democrats conned you into electing someone with no real life experience in leadership, management, or business skills.

You also can't deny that Dubya was able to push his agenda through when the Dem's controlled both the House and Senate.

Hell, you're still suckered by'em! They have you believing that Obama now has more of those skills than a successful business man. (I will not say Romney's a good choice though or suggest you or anyone vote for him.)

Are we looking at the same thread? This is the thread that mad1 started about Krauthammer's take on Obama's acceptance speech. We aren't talking about Clinton here. Talking about Clinton would be something someone would do because they're either lost or they have nothing to say on the topic.

You know I didn't vote for either of those two candidates last election. Show me where the Romney/Ryan ticket is going cut my taxes, keep college kids on their parents health ins, and reduce the deficit ???
