Sigh. I hope one day this great nation comes to it's senses and pulls foreign aid for everyone.

Filthy? Well, I suppose so. The lack of running water does indeed contribute to a lack of personal hygiene.
Please don't start threads with such bigoted, idiotic titles, Taxman.
Good job, friend-of-friends!

Huh, didn't even see that. Thought it said 'fifty'..have to get these eyes checked

Though you could say those that acted that way (to rip our flag) fit the title of filthy fairly well.
The rest of Egypt I couldn't say the same for, as some Egyptian friends of mine prove the title doesn't fit as a whole.Main PC: AMD FX-8350 / 16gb DDR3 1600 / AMD 7970GE 1200mhz Core & 1600mhz Mem / Win7 Pro 64bit

I'm not sure which is more stupid. A bunch of Egyptians getting their panties up in a bunch over depictions of Mohammed or a bunch of Americans doing the same over a flag.
The religion of patriotism is as blind as any other, and equally stupid.Good job, friend-of-friends!

If you can't see passed the cloth the Flag is made of , then Patriotism seems to be your loss.

It's symbolism. If we act like machines and are unable to show emotion for something which deserves it, then we're no different than a mosquito.
Tony is just acting a fool as usual and not recognizing the bigger picture. Burning the flag is offensive and it means they don't like us. But we'll keep feeding them dollars and coerce them into being our "friends". The problem with buying friends is you can be outbid.

Egyptians angry at film scale U.S. embassy walls | Reuters
I'm getting tired of the news coming out of Egypt as of late. The Muslims are crucifying Christians on trees, they have tanks at the sinai peninsula, and the new President of Egypt met with the Iranian president Mahmoud Ahma I'm a fuck tard dinejad.
My uncle is a Christian and just got out of there after the protests.

Oh, so the military is the only place one learns service? One has to join a governmental organization to learn how to serve others? It is impossible to understand what it means to love or defend a country unless you put on a uniform?
Or maybe I just refuse to burden my life with idols and religious dogma. A flag is just a bunch of woven, dyed plant fibers.
Patriotism doesn't have a thing to do with plant fibers.
Plant fibers deserve my respect? My emotions are reserved for ideas. The ideas of America, patriotism, and freedom exist flag or no flag. Hence, the flag, while symbolic, is non-essential.
It's only offensive to people who have lack the cognitive capacity to dissociate an item from an idea. From a critical perspective, it is as wild as transubstantiation.Burning the flag is offensive and it means they don't like us. But we'll keep feeding them dollars and coerce them into being our "friends". The problem with buying friends is you can be outbid.
I agree. We should cease military aid to the middle east.Good job, friend-of-friends!

When I was only 5 I would draw and color all the different types of American flags there were and I frequently thought about Paul Revere's ride. I am a Patriot!
Listen, my children, and you shall hear
Of the midnight ride of Paul Revere,
On the eighteenth of April, in Seventy-Five;
Hardly a man is now alive
Who remembers that famous day and year

And I couldn't gain this perspective as a policeman or firefighter? First Responder? Inner city school teacher? Suicide prevention counselor?
If this supposed "different perspective" of yours can only be gained via the military, then it is a hoax. I'd be open to entertaining it if and when America gets back to a policy of national defense, isn't involved in fighting wars to serve corporate interests, and stops its policies of murdering people in lands we haven't gone to war against.Good job, friend-of-friends!

What I don't understand about the Muslims in Egypt is that when they tear down the American flag they are desecrating American Muslims.
What if we go to the Egyptian embassy and tear their flag down and replace it with a Christian one? Hell would break lose!
