Westboro Baptist Church To Picket Sandy Hook Elementary, Praise God For Shooting

Westboro Baptist Church announced via Twitter that they will travel to Newtown, Connecticut to picket the site of the Sandy Hook elementary school massacre.

Westboro’s announcement, made by Margie Phelps and Shirley Phelps-Roper, adds that the church will “sing praise to God for the glory of his work in executing his judgement.”

This group NEEDS to go away. Of note they have garnered the attention of Anonymous who claims to have hacked their site.

The Pearl, MS cops shut them down when they came down here for that Marine's funeral.
The human species is amazing. Westboro minds are just as twisted as that young kid,but ,by being "Peaceful" ????, they are permitted to indulge in their obscenities.
But, I wouldn't think about changing the 1st Amendment in any way.
The Westboro group were contained and received numerous tickets from the cops when they were in Pearl.

Just wanted to update you guys on the status of the WBC Picketing of the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton, CT. They have posted that they plan to start their protest at 7PM local time (EST) as close to the crime scene as they can get considering much of it is still taped off and actively under investigation. They also plan to stay in the area and picket the funerals of several of the child victims during the week. This information can be found on their twitter page.

However, the president will also be in town tonight to speak to the families of the victims so security is going to be at an all time high with a lot of common routes being closed to civilian traffic. As of 1300 the town as absolutely packed with people awaiting the arrival of the WBC and if you pay close enough attention you can notice the secret service advance teams setting up and clearing routes ahead of the presidents arrival.

As a member of the CT Patriot Guard I can say with intimate knowledge that we are not acting in an official capacity tonight, as this does not fit into our mission statement of 'Standing for those who stood for us' and 'being welcome by the family', as we are NOT an anti-protest group, but a group about honor and respect. We are however communicating with each other and many of us will be present in an unofficial capacity. I hope you can let the WTF nation know of these updates so any of your fans needing a lift can carpool up together, because there's already not much room left in this town. Thanks

These people are utter shit! They came here to Lovelnad, CO and protested at a soldier's funeral. This was a guy I new in high school ROTC that served in Afghanistan. This is a hate group, but will Obama do anything? Probably not.
