    [UD] what is this

I was sitting here drinking my coffee watching the molecules go by on the new protein and noticed that it said " de novo structures" what is this? Usually I see some # then conformers?

I seen this a couple times before but never paid any attention to it. Now it has got me curious.

De novo structures—Sometimes a molecule may have extra potential if it slightly altered in some way. THINK considers small variations or atom substitutions to increase the number of molecules being evaluated.
These new altered molecules are de novo derivatives, or structures, which are also tracked on the screensaver.

I think I will step in for this one.

    Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor
Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) stimulates the growth of blood vessels. The uncontrolled growth of cancer cells is legendary. But this sort of growth requires a lot of blood flow to the cell area. If the blood vessel growth can be restrained, then, in theory, so can cancer growth.

    Any questions?
