Looks like with core_65 dated jan 22 2002, fah2 can now keep up with the big boys. Before if you run fah2 with another DC like genome@home, eccp or UD, it defaults to almost nothing cpu cyle usage. With the new core, it share with genome@home 50/50 cycle like it use to.
Now all of my boxes have both project running 50/50.
Progress??

DG,
With folding@home, good client/bad client you have to clarify it. It is an ongoing process. With the new core_65, it is again able to run with other DC projects like it use to when it was a Folding@Home1 client. On FAH2 they changed the client to where it cannot run with other DC projects.
As soon as I found out today, I started running both project simultanteously. Now if the server at FAH2 goes down, GAH gets most of the cpu cycle and vice versa.
For those that runs other project, they might investigate the option if they run 24/7.

e, are you still doing that monster protein "villin". I have 1 more m/b and cpu, Epox and 600 duron. The question is can I run both with that combo?I know the villin is like a LRM in UD, with a 6 day t/o. I'm just concerned I won't be able to finish?
Or , can I run folding and genome like I do UD and genome?
For example, I d/l a w/u from UD , let it get maybe 40% complete and start genome, run genome concurrently for 16-40 hours then <Ctrl> <C> genome and finish the UD w/u.
I know the team needs some more cows, just looking for a way to help!

GM,
My take on that is, with the on villin my Duron 700 it was crunching it around maybe 14-16 hrs. With the 6 days turn around time, even with server problems I would ASSuME that it is more than enough time to do both or three DC projects at the same time. Which I use to do, ECCP, GAH, and FAH. 33% each.
