DADDYSPC is one of mine, how do I change my name on here and how do I add the output of additional machines and can I do it without having the individual PC Name displayed?

hi, brendon, by change your name, do you mean your forum name, or fad name. the moderators do not allow name changes very often so you would probably have to make a new account, or pm a mod and beg nicely. for changing your fad name, just out in a new name and the same email address, then twinkletoes will supply (again) the email address for support at fad, who will hopefully consolidate your accounts into one identity.

Let's see if I can confuse things (joke).

Your forum name here - refer to Paul's answer.

Your individual PCnames are irrelevant for crunching. My computer names are Beata, Dana and Emma...but nobody knows that (except you, now). My forum name is Twinkletoes. My FaD crunching name here is Tinkletwits (pun on Twinkletits). Now the important bit.

ON ALL THREE MACHINES, in the FaD Control Panel (right click the icon in the system tray and select SetUp):

Under the Member Details Tab I have inserted Tinkletwits as my Nickname, and joebloggsinhellorwherever as my e-mail address. I have checked and doubled checked that I have made absolutely identical entries on all three. Absolutely identical entries on all three. If you can manage that, then after a couple of stats updates everything will work fine and we won't need to contact FaD Support.

Under the Projects Tab I have made sure that Beta and Commercial are de-selected.

Under the General Tab I have put 2037 for the team number and I have also put the Internet Connection Plan to what I want. (I am on ADSL so I have selected the "when on-line" option). I run 1 copy of THINK (on WinXP). I have the Graphics hidden.

Under the Options Tab I have de-selected Open GL Graphics cos that's what Sharder & Co have told me to do.

AND AFTER DOING ALL THAT I HAVE PRESSED SAVE before leaving Set-Up.

Thanks for the info guys.

I was after how to change my name on the crunching thing not here at Techimo as I don't have any problem with it and those who visit several boards will no doubt have seen it elsewhere, as far as I know there isn't anyone else with the same User Name( so far)

I wanted to change the names for the crunchers as I don't want to have to rename them all on the N/W just to crunch.

NP. Just go and change the Nicknames ín Set-Up. Remember to "Save" !!!
