| [UD] Adressing All team members...
From the retirements I've seen the latest days I speak to you as a member of IMO the greatest Team on UD.
Since I joined in august or september we have climbed from below 1700th place to comfortably in the Top 100 teams. We have recently passed Team uBB Dev and are now holding place 91. That's over ten spots in a week.
I am not going to participate in another DC project after UD, but I ask you all of one thing:
Stay on UD until they officially close it. We've come far. It's time for the last sprint.
...let's go get 'em Team. |

I'm in for the duration. From what I read on the UD boards, this new client is meant to allow for further development and stuff, so we may not be near the end of this at all
This changeover today may stall our meteoric rise, but not for long

I'm in 'til they kick me out.
I really have no interest in any other DC project. SETI? I mean, really, don't these people need to get a life? Protein folding and such? Nope, don't think so. So if UD goes, I'll stay on the sidelines unless something else really worthwhile comes along.

Two of my cows had to retire , but that leaves the 3 other, more powerful ones to chug along. |

| Awww... man... now i feel bad :(
Well, my first SETI isn't even downloaded yet (Gonna get you for that remark JnMHayes! :-p ) - and I already feel like I've let you guys down
I've really liked working on the cancer project - and i think I'll be chaging in between that and seti - or just run seti on my own box, and have my friends Athlon 1G run UD - just to make it up.
With UD - it was the fight against cancer that had me going, not the racing (though it was fun - even with my little K6-3 450... well, mostly because it benched 53 against a 1.5 gig Pee-4)
After i read that UD had achieved all their goals in the cancer project (and more), i felt like "it was over" - "i had done my part" - after all, the goal had been reached, and passed
Now comes the slow part - testing the results in the lab. It will be years before we can see any "hands-on" results of our effort - while we can continue proteins, i doubt they will be usefull for research since they've gotten the results they wanted.
Well, I've done SETI before, and yes - i believe in extra-terristrial life, and it got me really fascinated from the first time i ran it, and now I'm at it again - continuing where i left with my pathetic 72 WU's done - but hey, it's a beginning (actually a re-beginning.. uhm, was that even a word?)
To sum it all up:
I'll run seti on my own box, but i'll continue recruiting boxes for UD - satisfied?

Wiruz, I agree with you nothing wrong with finding ET
Hell I think we'd be REALLY arrogant to think we're the only life in this vast universe.
"No other known planet has the correct environment for supporting life, no air no water" ?? Who gives a rip!!!
Jeez just because humans need these things, EVERY walk of "life" does? lol
Anyways, I say if you need to do SETI feel free... just don't forget about UD
I'm still here, the little caboose chugging away in the back |

| Agent Embryo, why give up because of a few bad apples, OR because of a feud between teams(members)
The DC Medical Projects are Bigger than the individuals that participate in them.
Our own personal satisfaction level is overshadowed by the long range benefits.
Please rethink your plan.
