A recent check I did revealed we are about #25 every day in terms of points, and we are putting in an average of approximately 200 days per day of CPU time, at least over the past couple of weeks, ignoring, of course, the "changeover burp" of last week.
How can we NOT be gainin' on em?

We just r0x0rz!! Sorry, had to whip out the hacker-speak. :P It would help me if people would stop shutting off my work computers after I leave, being that they're doing the majority of my crunching... Gonna have to disconnect the power LEDs again.

Yeeee Haaaa
We're kicking some butt...Way to go team...How can we recruit some more people?
Have you checked out the stats? We were #25 in points yesterday, and the teams we're competing against(for the most part) have way more members than we do.

Thye may have more members, Marc, but few teams have such a high percentage of true geeks, ones that can whip up a cow out of a few garage sale parts, some duct tape and a couple of used clarinet reeds
Good point about recruiting, though. Been thinking about that myself. Wish they did a Mac client for UD.
BTW, barring the explosion of the sun or something similar, well hit 5 MILLION points on the stats update the evening of Feb 28. I may be wrong about this, but it seems we hit 4 million at the beginning of the month.
If we keep on piling on the points the way we are, we should be doing a million points every 15 to 16 days!!!
GO YOU FORMERLY DERANGED BOVINES!!! |

Wish they did a Mac client for UD. | I hear you there. I could probably have more machines running here too, but the electric bill is killing me as it is. I could dig through the basement, garage, closet, under the table, etc and whip together several more machines...kind of scary actually
As for the Mac client. I would love to actually get my Mac usable for something other than a boat anchor. It's old and was given to me, and I bought a used ethernet card for it, but I can't seem to find a browser or at least a way to install it. Actually I wonder if tcp/ip is even installed. Now that I think of it, I think I need to post a question about this in the proper forum.
Night all,
Marc |
