i'm running the beta, and it seems to be okay apart from that one failed job during the changeover. that job is back in the queue now, so no big deal. one of theses days i may remember to uncheck that beta box.
there may be some changes to the help>usage text, but i couldn't swear to that.
the main changes i have noticed are in the setup control panel.

May 4th, 2005, 06:50 AM #3That scheduling option (your third attachment) will no doubt be extremely useful to many people!

the beta versions have not been without incident in the past, but usually nothing too serious.
and as to the scheduler, i need a 'run 24/7' option before it is useful to me

You know dog spelled backwards is god.....

it seems to have extra options listed in the help>usage section to do with offline crunching.
were these commands there already?
-
May 4th, 2005, 09:10 AM #8Don't recall any mention of an intranet etc before, Paul. (But then there are other Paul:s around here who will immediately claim that there's not much that I do recall...)

I passed 50,000 points last night
. (64,200 total)
Isn't that one of the milestones? Did it in 5 days.
No respect
-
May 4th, 2005, 12:48 PM #15By an odd coincidence, Doddsy was JUST on the point of posting this. But unfortunately he got delayed because he is "helping the police in their enquires" regarding some concrete swing foundations which are missing from the Banbridge Municipal Council Park. In a demonstration of teamsmanship, he asked me to post it in his stead.

Mmm. 50,000 points in 5 days. Not a bad start - plenty of room for improvement, but is shows willing and potential....

So Doddsy is swingin in the slammer. They tried to get finger prints, but the bandaid was in the way.
Edit: I'm potentially willing to open an online swingset store and Doddsy can be my installation specialist

'Bout darn time I got one CPU-year.

I'm not running beta since if a problem arises I probably won't know how to fix it. Plus I don't have a 2,000 CPU rating, so uploaded jobs are fewer and further between than other people, and I'd rather not lose my jobs.
-
May 4th, 2005, 01:26 PM #18He ain't got any fingerprints left - he's worn them out on his tea-mug.

Wow you are right:
The Ascension of the Lord: Holy Day of Obligation... see exeptions below
All US ecclesiastical provinces, with the exeption of Boston, Hartford, New York, Newark, Philadelphia, Washington, Atlanta, and the state of Nebraska, have transferred the celebration of the Solemnity of the Ascension to the 7th Sunday of Easter, May 8. If transferred, Thursday, May 5, is observed as an Easter weekday.

I don't get off for it.

May 4th, 2005, 02:43 PM #20I do !
