There's a very good tutorial at FaD telling you how to set up a headless machine. Lemme go and find it...BRB

Just been scouting around the UltraVNC site linked above by Bthom70 - good installation instructions and documentation, but a bit beyond me. I found TightVNC quite easy to install, maybe because (AFAIK!!!) it's intended only for local networks and not for access via the Web?

Ive been here since Scott started TechIMO from Sysopt. but I dont post alot hence my low count.
But I do read alot, and I do surf many, many website to cull information for my job.
When I'm really stuck I typically head over to tek-tips.com and their plethora of experts.

Hi DragonZero, hope you've found the FaD threads now, and seen in the team stats that you're up-and-running and currently at Nr 225. Every little counts and 3 GHz isn't so little either! FWIW, quite a few of us have family computers running FaD as well, and nobody has had any serious problems with that AFAIK. Welcome again!

Tell you what - why don't we make that the subject of tomorrow's thread? If a single sensible adult posts "Agreed" in the next hour or so, then I will take upon myself the grievous burden of opening tomorrow's chatthread with a suitable title...

Does it rule me out because it is proof that I am not sane, single, or both?

I plead the Fifth, and accept your "Agreed" as a go-ahead. Plus you look so cute lying there shuffling your feet.

PS. No need to ask Caro what she does: she's obviously a hairdresser.
