[FAD] The end approacheth . . .

Noted on the [FAD] forums from Keith today.
Quote:
Sorry, for operational reasons the automatic uninstall has been delayed until Monday 19 December.#

On Monday unlike today, I'm not playing carols on my Sousaphone on a local supermarket - which means that there is no risk of a 1 hour session being extended to 4 hours because some-one from head office was delayed
In the mean time . . .

I'd like to thank Scott and especially RobRich for the support and providing a home for the TechIMO [FAD] team.

A great big thanks to the members of the team and to the Ol' Stinky One (TTwit) for the humor, friendliness, banter, and challenges.

While I brought most of my herd home, I've left some to remain a part of Team TechIMO. For those that weren't aware, after a short discussion with the wifey . . . (and a look at current electric bills and temps), I will be shutting down most of my herd and will spend the weekend packaging and shipping 2 to nieces in MN, as well as delivering one to a niece down the street. At this time, I'm not looking at joining any other projects, but will remain with the DIMES organization as a Mod, while pinging away with what remains running.

You've all been great and should be proud of the 6th place finish for the team. You've performed extremely well against some major teams and organizations and I'm sure Scott, Rob, and Company are proud of your/our contributions.

I'll still be hanging out at TIMO as well as my other home, and DIMES, so don't be partying thinking I won't be around.

Harder

It looks like there is still one job nearing completion, it should be done sometime this week. I'm still crunching on it and should have 10 crunchers going until the bitter end.

Sorry to see you lose all your crunchers Harder, I know what a burden it can be to run them privately. Tell your wife thanks for me...I'm sure she'll get a thrill out of that

I think they are being accepted still, the stats are showing my uploaded jobs. Keith may be taking the weekend off, I'm sure he could use some time away from the project.

Keith posted this on the FaD boards this morning:

We still don't have a fixed date for stopping accepting results. I anticipate that it will be around 9 January. The websites will remain active after that date.
