Ok, this is what is happening. I finished a WU, but for some reason, it will not update. It has stayed at the same spot for about an hour or more.
Is there a problem with the servers or something?

If you use the windows console. This might be your problem. I haven't used the GUI client, so I don't know if it has the same problem.
If you click anywhere inside of the console window. 'Select' will appear beside the window title. When it's in this mode. It doesn't update the window, and the client will stop and wait for the window to get out of 'Select' mode. To get it back to normal, press 'Enter'. This wonderful feature makes me wish I had a billg voodoo doll to take my anger out on.

What kind of connection do you have to the internet. I have a cable connection so the "ask before using network" box is not checked.

Strange thing is, I turned the system off for a few hours, and it started when I turned the system back on.......... |

Are you using a router? Sometimes my router gets stuck and I have to pull the plug on it for a couple of seconds and then everything is OK again.
I'm using a 4-port Linksys etherfast cable/dsl router.
edit:
oh, glad it's working now. |
