{ECCp} Problem sending via proxy server

Hi
I've just reorganised my LAN to have a proxy server (analogx proxy) for net access via dialup. Works fine for IE and OE (except for OE6 in winXp for some reason, still working on that one!).

Now I can't send ECCP DP's from anywhere except the proxy box.

I must have soimthing wrong. In eccp***.ini, the line #PROXY=hostort
was modified to read
PROXY=192.168.0.1:1080
Aso tried
PROXY=dummy:1080 *name of proxy box*
as well as
PROXY=192.168.0.1:6588
but none worked.

What am I doing wrong?? What is the port I need??

Thanks
Mick

Well, I been a'browsing for info while waiting oin you good folk for help, and I found a previous post here by Virus saying it needs Port 80. Analogx Proxy doesn't support this port .

So it looks like looking for a better bit of freeware proxy software. Any suggestions that are know to work with UD, ECCp, win98, winNT and winXP??

Thanks
Mick

mickwisk,
winproxy is a 30 day free trial and it uses port 80.
this might help in the short term

Mick-

You might want to try the ND manual submission page if you can't beat the proxy issue.

Results do not go through Statsaholic, but are counted at ND.

BTW, Welcome to the team!
