    a new teams page

Hey guys! I decided to hop over to the teams page to see what dc projects are active around here and realized that page in completely outdated. Talked to Rob and I'll be designing a new one . I just wanted to get a feel here for which projects are still active and running . Just let me know what projects you guys are working with. I'll try to keep a current list in this first post so if you see if someone has already mentioned a project you're crunching for! I've been outa the dc scene for a while so i may have lots of questions bout the project to help add content but i look forward to contributing again...even if i don't have a farm anymore . lol.

I know of members participating in SETI, Rosetta, and Malaria Control. Possibly Folding@Home, but not sure.

thanks rob . Those are all boinc clients are they not? If you list a project that runs under boinc please let me know . That way I can be sure to keep all the boinc stuff together to be sorted through easier!

Yeah all those are boinc projects. Most of what we have now runs on the boinc software with the exception of DIMES, folding@home and the UD cancer project.

    some boinc projects:
    Seti@home
    predictor@home
    Rosetta@home
    LHC@Home
    Einstein@Home
    malariacontrol.net

as for who still runs what I don't know. I just got back to crunching seti and will be doing predictor again.

Mea culpa. Except for Folding@Home. But I am running the first three.

    Is anyone still running Dimes?

AFAIK the "UD" cancer project is the same thing as the World Community Grid cancer project, and that runs on BOINC. One has the option to run it on the UD agent or on BOINC. Running it on the latter contributes to TIMO's overall placing on the BOINC stats of course... hint hint.

Rob, might it be a good idea to let most of the "BOINC" stickies on the first page of the DC forum float freely now?

Done TT. Once we have an updated teams page, I will toss together a single DC forum sticky thread.

You've done something good and they want to acknowledge it by publishing your real name in a paper!!!

    Well done!!!

Gee, thanks... wish they would just acknowledge the team, not the individuals.

Where's the stupid spam thread? I wanna see the stupid spam thread!

(Aka another cunningly disguised bump, and clear evidence of another outbreak of the Anything Paul Can Do I Can Do Better syndrome)

You wish you could bump threads as well as I can, but you would need lots of extra practice.
