    sounds interesting, more details ?

by the way I had a little down time with the 400 (h/d crapped out and had to find a replacement.) so I gave It a little tune up it's now running at 450.

I also have a slot a 750 on a KA7. I need to find someone to fix the bad capacitors on the board.

Lucky me Ran into a buddy at work who will fix the capacitors for me.

I'm trying to find a k6-2 mobo but there doesn't seems to be no one here (in P.R) that carries them anymore!! I think I'm going straight to pricewatch to see if I find something! Another cow, more heat and higher electric bills doesn't hurt!!!!
    boo!

    nunyadam,

I could never get that cpu stable at 450. If you can run it stable, good for you. The slot1 366 cpu is just sitting here. Don't have any mobo that it can go to. A relative burned the mobo that it went with, a soyo.

    Sorry eagle1, fresh out of k62 mobo's.

I don't have a slot one board either darn it. That's another Processor I would like to have played with but never had acess to.(they were out of my price range.)
I had to bump up the core voltage a bit to get it stable at 450, (2.5 v). I had it up to 500 but it would post and not load , plus the voltage was getting a little to high so I backed it down to 450
I will probably run it as is for a week and see if I can back the voltage down further.(worked for some others I had.)

It seems I found a mobo for my k6-2 500!!!!!
I think it only goes to 400mhz but there's nothing a BIOS update wont do!

I think he'll give it to me to test it and if it works, he'll give me the motherboard with a case for like $40!!!! Sweet!!
    boo!

Same prob with one of my boards (only goes to 400). Defaults my K6-2 500 to 166 . Web site says to buy a new 2mb bios chip for the board to get it to work. Only prob is they won't answer my emails . Good luck with yours though

    What board do you have?!?!?!
If it defaults to 400 you need to change the multiplier settings and all of that! Maybe leave it working at 400 until you get some kind of info from them.!
