He checks in every now and then I think. Send him a PM also. |

@KK Yeah i seen how rough the sink was on mine,it had some pretty noticeable grooves so to speak. I put a thin layer of paste right on the sink before i seated it. I have been thinking about lapping mine too! I'm scary as hell about lapping the cpu though!
Did you take the pins off when you lapped the heat sink? |

Update on my progress.
I lapped my HSF and CPU. I lowered my idle and load temps almost 10c°.
That mean more overclock! | [FaDChatSat18] MIA - SixPac, Ultima, Russian Wall et al

so I assume we will be starting a new thread everyday,
and now the bad news, I reinstalled vista, got the real SP1 for it, and now it will only run 1 copy of F@H so i'm back to using 1 core, until I figure out the problem, |

| Maybe once we get big. I think that we should make it less often(every other day? Weekly?) until we really get rolling. Im not sure if we have enough involvement yet - its good what we got but the test will come if we can keep this up over time. Dilligence is not a 110% effort some of the time, but 100% effort all of the time.

That sucks dave. Leave it to M$ to screw something good up..
@2- I didn't take the pins off. I worked around them. I popped the bottom of the retaining clip off the block of the HSF to give me some room to work. I would recommend you try it out on a old HSF first. I did it to my Geminii, and it turned out even better then my AF7. |
