New GPU folding client is available from Stanford
This morning, Folding@home Director Vijay Pande announced the start of an open beta testing campaign for the next-generation GPU client, which is nicknamed FAH GPU2. According to Pande, the Folding@home team have carried out a limited alpha and a bigger, closed beta test for the new client, and they think GPU2 is now mature enough for public testing. Pande points out that the software still isn't flawless, that it could be unstable, and that points benchmarking "may change due to software or policy changes." However, he says there ought to be no show-stopping bugs.Clicky to full story...The GPU2 folding client can be downloaded directly from this link.
