Now i had the quad freeze up on me but i think that was heat and oc related. |

I am on the box which have that early_end wu and just went thru both log file and it seemed that I had a total of 4 early_end wu in the last several days. I know this box has been stable for a couple of years and been crunching realiably. The box did completed several wu in between dumpage, so I still think its the wu being sent out which is causing the dumpage. Between 2Monster, KK, me and coondawg all around the same time dumping wu's. Then we can't all be having box issues all at the same time. Right?

I would hope it's not us. Surely it would have to be the F@H servers. The last couple of days when I've went to check stats, their stat servers were down. So I'm thinking they're having a crysis over there..
I really don't think it's all of us...
And the dually just started crunching again.. |

Karma, how do you get into the advanced options while it is running?
Is the Linux client really any faster? If so, by how much?
I think Standford might tailor the WU's one receives based on some variables. Like your your processor and amount of time the last WU was completed. I also think the clients Internet connection ability suxxs. I can run all day long using an ICS WIFI connection with a desktop gaming and no problem, but when the client tries to receive a WU, nooooo. Sometimes I get that address 0.0.0 error BS. So I repaired the NIC to clear the IP address and ARP cache etc. Still no joy sometimes. I run the client on three to five machines. The latter two being the dual and quad. Not often enough on those though. Only one computer is Wireless. The others are hardwired. |

Same 0.0.0 error crap! using the SMP client. Every time I use the advanced settings it won't resolve an IP address to fetch work. But when I don't use the advanced settings it fetches work just fine. Go figure.. I tried different settings on each erase of the config file too! "Receive work in batches yes/no, RAM", etc.. The IE settings are always set to off, the receive work more than 5 MBs is always on and stat up as service always off. IDK, I'll have to copy my settings and post latter . Right now I had to restart my from the beginning. |
