But according to your title, this thread will be tomorrow's thread tomorrow! Now that is just craziness....
In the name of research I am going to go play some xbox so that my computer can crunch more... :-)
P.S. I have a Core Duo (the original, not a core 2 duo), and it only seems to be using 60% of my cpu. Do I have to run 2 instances, one for each core? If so, is that possible with the regular F@H client that I downloaded or do I need one of the Betas or something?I don't like signatures.

I run one instance as a service and another instance with the GUI client on my Dual CPU server.

I don't think that the SMP client works for dual cores. Most people that I have seen will run 2 instances at once on their duallies, usually the console ones. I run 4 instances on my quaddie by sneakernet, works great. I would suggest the console one for easier management . . . but thats just my preference.
In otherwords - run 2 clients and get more pts!

Well, downloaded the text based console, ran it and it picked up all of my info from the GUI and started running on the second core. To make sure I set an affinity to each process and i am now using 100% of my processor. Should almost double my points when I am not using my computer

I had an idea: We should petition to computer stores to run F@H on their computers. From what I've seen, even with the SMP version I have had zero slowdown, even playing games. Think about it: Best Buy has like 30 computers running idle at every store. It could also be used as a benchmark. "Yeah, this Compaq averages 730 points a day".
It would also put up some friendly competition between store companies. Or maybe they'd join TechIMO

So I got Vista installed. And for some reason, it doesn't like F@H at all..
So for now, back in XP.. I worry about Vista after this WU is done.

btw, I found out what I think is the problem with my main box. I was running this apc software for my ups that I stopped bothering to plug into my computer. Its system tray program was taking 550meg of memory and some other related program was taking 150meg of memory...
