Got that quaddie crunching on stock. Asrock mobo does not like it past 280fsb so I'll wait till I get a better mobo. The cow is munching tho.
Maybe I'll get back to 10k per week.
Woohoo
Thanks KK.

Stock?
What's that?

And your welcome. I'm glad somebody has found use for the extra crap I got laying around here..
So speaking of crap laying around, I have a couple of OLD gateway boxes. I believe they are low end P3's. Do you think it would be worth it to put them on crunching?
My current P3 took about 2 weeks for one console WU. I'm having problems justifying running it anymore. It really seems like it's not even worth the power it consumes.
What do you guys think?Q6600@4Ghz | i7 920@4.4Ghz |E6320@3.5Ghz

I sort of agree with you. There are more cons than pro on running those older boxes. I only have one single processor box left in the house. I am holding on to it incase I decide to use the ide raid. It use to be a duallie Gigabyte Ga7dpwdpx or something like that. I only have one cpu on it since I've parceled it out long time ago.

Hmm..
I'll probably just leave them be then. I always try to give away older machines, but I've pretty much overloaded all my friends and family already with old towers...

I know what you mean.
Some of them are still running and I am always surprise when I open up the box. What ecs k7s5a with amd 1000 still running???
I've been looking on the links you posted about quad capable mobo. I am leaning more towards abit p35pro since it has raid but I looked at neweggs reviews and it does not sound good unless I checked out the wrong one.
That asus p5k looks like it has a raid and so far I have been rolling pretty good with open box from newegg. Last 3 open box mobo I got worked other than missing parts.
Yep I must have looked at the wrong mobo review cuz when I checked it again most people liked the abit ip35 pro.

MS home server is really a cool thing to use the old gateways for,
to bad MS is charging way to much money for it, $159 last I seen,
i'm thinking come on it won't get on the internet it has no player or photo stuff,
all it does is do backups of other computers on a network,
I was thinking $59 maybe, it does work good, but not worth $159i'm folding for techimo!! what are you doing?

And E-man.
I've heard really good things about the Abit P35 boards. I was really really considering it for my build. But I found my board for $59, and that's all she wrote.
And I was on a really good streak with open boxes too, but I picked one up for my little sisters PC project, and it was DOA. Granted, it was an AsRock though, so I should have known..
That ruins my streak of 4..

I turn on the PS3 when I think about it...the kids never do so the numbers have been falling. Stopped crunching on my main rig. Was having odd problems with F@H running.
