Karma started a thread? That explains the Tornado Warning.
Most of my herd is shut off for the next couple hours due to the afore mentioned storm. Round one over, round 2 on its way.

    Be safe Nunya.
I know that feeling all to much. Although lately we've been lucky and dodged the big storms it seems..

It's actually really nice here. 82° and sunny, with about a 20MPH wind..

(It's nice I actually get to brag about OUR weather for once. Normally we have the crappiest/most active weather in the nation.)

    Hey KK,

You are right about the v droop on this mobo. On the bios I got it up to 1.375v but on cpuz it barely shows 1.325v

Unfortunately I only got it to 9x340=3060mhz. I don't think I want to increase the voltage and fsb since it is within my cpu temp tolerance. I'm running prime95 on all cores right now and see if she is stable before I start crunching. Maybe in the morning if it is still running fine. An oc is better than no oc.

Are you just running a stock cooler on that E? Or are you running the coolermaster?
    What are your temps?
Really, you can take your chip up to lower 60's, and it'll run fine. Absolute max is 72°c. Same with the v-core. Max most go on air is 1.5v. On H20 I've seen people running 1.6-1.7volts, which is damn scary if you ask me.
The only reason I get as good OC as I do on my boards with V-droop is because I up the v-core A LOT. But really, if your think about it, if they never hit the set v-core in BIOS, then your fine right?
On my EVGA board, my v-core is set to 1.53v, in windows at idle it shows 1.42, and under load it actually goes up ( ) to 1.46.

Yeah, I just finished a flight from O'Hare in Flight simulator and using downloaded weather from jeppesen, I had thunderstorms in the game, even lightning!. I never seen lightning in flightsim. before.

Yes KK coolermaster on the hsf, bios vcore 1.375 and the fsb is 335. it ran all night and I am typing on it now. Btw current core temp is 68 Its not the case since I have all of my quaddie on Antec full tower cases.

Yep just happen to have a hot cpu, oh well. I know its not the mobo since it did the same thing on the other gigabyte.

You're right about the bios v cpuz cpu voltage but as far as cranking it up to 1.5, I think I mistakenly up it that far initially but the temp was hovering 71-74

I might tweak it little bit more but I think cpu is going to be just crunching in the 3.0 range.

Now let me set up F@H smp and feed these cows.

I think my cows are good now. Lastnight I noticed that the dually box kept dumping WU's when it was like 70% done. I'm not sure why, but I uninstalled folding, then reinstalled, and it seems like its working now.

    EDIT:
Nope, it wasn't fixed. So I'm reloading XP on there now..

I swear KK you are trying to get a steak on the hoof/go. Keep on cranking that bad baby up and you'll have yourself steak raw instead of a crunching cow. Meeh at this point/prices which are going down, lived it up a little bit and push the boundaries.

I'm trying for 4.0Ghz now. I think I can do it, just will have to wait till it gets really cold in the room, or maybe just winter.
My temps are holding me back now. I've got it to go into windows at 3.9, but it's won't even give me enough time to validate it before it blue screens. When I saw the temps, 2 of the cores were at 73°.
So I'm gonna get a TRUE probably, and go from there.
