Still at work.
Had to do a presentation today... I hate it!!!
Not because I'm not comfortable talking or with the language (English) but because everyone knows more than I do (I only have like 3 years or less and these guys have worked on the same thing since the start of the 90s!). but baah...
anyway, it seems the big WU uploaded today as I saw a jump of like 2000 points!
Nice...

| NEW School prayer : Now I sit me down in school Where praying is against the rule For this great nation under God Finds mention of Him very odd. If Scripture now the class recites, It violates the Bill of Rights. And anytime my head I bow Becomes a Federal matter now. Our hair can be purple, orange or green, That's no offense; it's a freedom scene. The law is specific, the law is precise. Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice. For praying in a public hall Might offend someone with no faith at all. In silence alone we must meditate, God's name is prohibited by the state. We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks, And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks.. They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible. To quote the Good Book makes me liable. We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen, And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King. It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong, We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong. We can get our condoms and birth controls, Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles. But the Ten Commandments are not allowed, No word of God must reach this crowd. It's scary here I must confess, When chaos reigns the school's a mess. So, Lord, this silent plea I make: Should I be shot; My soul please take! Amen

Karma is in the house!!
What a long day. Today we started a remodel for a house that got struck by lightning. Most of the attic got burnt. Rafters, ceiling joist, insulation, everything was chared black. It was probably one of the dirtiest jobs I've ever done. Basically, we are tearing of the ceiling and roof of the whole house, then building it back. So today was the first day, and we got most of all the sheet rock that was on the ceilings off. And start on fascia and soffit. Tomorrow we'll continue till we get all the soffit/fascia off. Then we have to stop for a couple of days because there is rain in the forcast..

What's up crew? | Not much, one more hour before home time.
Dang surprise that house did not turn crispy critters. What about all of the appliances, burned out?

You would think that, but actually all the appliances that actually still had power to them work. The main part of the fire was right over the breaker box, so the majority of the wires got burnt and melted together. The lady that owns the house didn't even have a clue lightning hit till smoke started poring in the room from the return air.
Her neighbor is actually the first one to see the fire, and started yelling at the top of his lungs. She said as soon as she heard that, that's when smoke started coming in. She had time to leave her bedroom and grab her purse and keys to her car, and by that time she said she couldn't even see 6" in front of her, it was so smokey.. |

E.. Did you turn that crap where we can't see you on again?
And the insurance is covering it. They are paying for the whole job, down to new trim and carpet. Basically, she gets a new house.
And she was very lucky. The fire didn't have enough oxygen in the attic to get to far. In fact, she said by the time the fire department got there, it had pretty much put itself out. FD pretty much just sprayed the attic down with some foamy stuff, and left. |
