Welll KK downloaded that evga utility and was able to oc the gpu and see the temp. 66c. Uninstalled the rivatuner to make sure there is no conflict.
Also uninstalled the smp client on the almost stock q6600, could not install the -smp client on it so I am running a different project until they get all sorted out. Oh well, it was running fine with 5.92 until they decided to upgrade at the last minute.
Okay folders, where are the stats????

There ya go E..
And I feel ya on the SMP. I'm gonna wait it out till they get something that doesn't take hours to install and figure out..
And on the GPU temps, that's not really bad. I would say 75° and up is where you should start worrying...

Coolest cool breeze. Actually both oc'd gpu are hovering at 66c at 40rpm? or %. Anyway they got the same oc 648/1830/842 and depending on what wu they are crunching ranges from 3500-3700ppd. Not bad for a $80 video card which can outcrunch a q66oo cpu.

I push it any higher and it starts dumping wu. The first time it did I was 82% done.
Oooops.
3 q6600 and 2 8800gs is my farm at around 13000ppd. That's all we got boss man. Now you and 2monsters turn to crank up them gpu's points for the team.

E-man, if you can stand it turn the fans up to 100%. You'll get the best OC out of them that way.

And I really think the GPU's is where it's at now. IMO, it seems the Quads only use now is pushing multiple GPU clients.

Seems like it, let see how much I can squeeze out of this 8800gs.

I crank up the gpu fan speed to 100%. Shoot it's no louder than some of my cpu fans.
Gonna have to wait untill I complete both gpu wu before oc'ng again. Learned my lesson.

That's probably a good idea..
Bah.. long day here..
I had to take my dog to the vet. He's going into surgery tomorrow to fix his ear that's all swollen up.
That's gonna run about $300...

Ouch!!! The little ones are doing full court press on the wife to get a dog. Whenever she starts mentioning about walking and picking up after them in the morning and during winter, the conevrsations for some reason gets sidetrack to something else.

Hope doggie gets better tomorrow.

Me too!
He's acting totally normal though. So I don't think it's bothering him that much. Just really looks like it would hurt though..

Okay folders, in case you are oc'ng you gpu and it is reaching the gpu limit and dumping wu left and right. Be aware that after I think 6 wu dump you will be paused for 24 hrs due to the EUE limit exceeded.

Its good if you have a runaway client, so be inform.

Uh oh E..

I take it you found that the hard way? I've never ran into that. Must be something new..

It's all good bossman. That is why we have suckers like me to find out.

Anyway, could not get much higher than what I got previously. Both gpu fan's are running 50% and is on the low 60's. Went back to the non beta 177.35 driver since it was not helping me in oc'ing.
Besides 3700ppd for a $80 video card is not a bad deal.
If I only have a SLI capable mobo's.

Hi guys, just noticed you were talking about GPU overclocking. I actually read somewhere (I'll post links once I find them...) that the Folding client depends mostly on the shaders and not so much on the core and memory. Some people even go as far as to underclock their cores to reduce heat.

Thanks tgxiii, the gpu temps are ok low 60's. I had the gpu fan 100% and tried to increase the oc but it still would not go any farther than what I had. So now I have both gpu fan at 50%. Found the best oc for the gpu and crank it down a couple notch. Depending on the wu it ranges from 3400-4500ppd per gpu. I am still currently using the 177.35 driver.

I must start Spamming more often, But Really KK do you want to hear more complaints about a certain Router?
Actually I think I owe you a story.....What was it again? RAT!, or NUNYA Soup.

Just throw it away Nunya. It'll save many of headaches down the road.
And I've read that to tg, but it still ups my PPD if I OC the shadercore also. So IDK.
Anywho, doggy returned from vet. He is one out of it pup right now though..
Poor guy can hardly walk. The vet said they gave him a pain shot that'll last most of the night, so no telling what the poor guy is seeing..Last edited by KarmaKiller; August 7th, 2008 at 06:51 PM.

Oopps. Meant to say Core..

Sorry..
It does help a little. Granted nothing like the shader core OC, but every bit I can squeeze out of her is good for me.
Plus my temps are nothing to crazy high, and I'm probably gonna put that on water soon too, so that's gonna be even better..
