Too bad nunya. But I understand. I got a couple of older rigs here I could be running, but I'm in the same boat as you, not really worth the points.
Anywho, I'm just spamming it up here to get rid of the damn "buy nikes wholesale" spam.
Of all the places you would try to sell shoes, why a Tech Board? You would think they would find like runners forum board or something.. |

You have perfectly good electricity and we need it. lol!!
Nunyadam any of the rigs you running have pci-e slots?
And by the way you and a couple other members on this team is some of the reasons i started crunching.

LOL PCI-e What? uh No.
I'm not leaving, but I'm sure not going to bother running a 1GHz cpu, its just not worth it. P4 3GHZ are marginal at best. This is just the reality of the situation. I could dig up a couple old 486dx's, but would it be worth it? No.
I'm not going away, it is just time to regroup and figure out what is next. A new Computer For me is the first project, which means i have to find something to give up to finance it, and I'm running out of things to give up. ( over the last 10-15 years I have quit smoking, and Quit smoking the funny stuff,) Now I suppose you want me to quit Drinking just to build a new Computer to keep crunching? I don't see that happening, and I don't drink that much. lol (more than a lot of people, but not nearly as much as others.) |

Damn E..
You and Monsters are getting out of hand with this GPU folding thing..
I'm not sure what else I can trade off to get more GPU's.. Believe me, I'm looking now!!
But awesome upgrade. I wanna see what the PPD look like on that machine. |

If you look at the stats I dropped off since a quad and 2 8800gs gpu are offline cuz I can't get my stinky hands off of it. When and if I got the dual gpu cooking then I would start looking for replacement of the 2 8800gs.
Looks like NE have run out of 8800gs on rebates so will be looking for the next bang for buck gpu. |

You mind used parts E?
I found a couple lastnight on the forums for Monsters. Only like 2 GS's though.
I would suggest either the 8800GT or the 9600GT. Whatever you can find for cheaper.
9600GT slightly clocked nets me about ~4300PPD now. Sometimes drops to around 4k a day depending on the WU.
And I know the 8800GT's are getting around 4700-4900 PPD. |

The newer ones is what I am looking at. 8800gs only having 96 shaders really can't keep up with the newer ones. Besides in due time the gt's and 9 series should start going down soon. Gives me a chance to save up and get better cruncher.
I was hoping we can close the gap on Estonia but might have to wait a little longer.
Btw on the second gpu, after setting up the config with different id all I need is to run the shortcut? I do not have to see or move the second video card on the nvidia control panel, right?? |
