Btw on the second gpu, after setting up the config with different id all I need is to run the shortcut? I do not have to see or move the second video card on the nvidia control panel, right??
| Your guess is as good as mine. I haven't set up a dual GPU folding rig yet. I've been tempted to throw in the 9600 in this tower, just to try it out. But haven't gotten there yet.
And just so you know E, don't fall for the new cards by Nvidia. The 9800GT is the same thing as the 8800GT. And the 9500GT is a basically a 8800GS/9600GSO. Not exactly the same, but close enough.
So don't go paying top dollar for either of those.

Anyway, got the p5k pro working with 2 8800gs and a smp client crunching. . I have the quad pump to 350fsb@3158mhz.. Hopefully it holds.
I also installed the evga precision tools and crank up the oc but my questions is how do you oc the second gpu? Looks like when the box is just idling without surfing it crunch about the same time but when I start using the 1st gpu the 2nd one starts pulling ahead.
With XP the installation is pretty straigh forward, no dummy vga plug trick. Just extend the desktop to the 2nd card and it got recognize.

Have you tried using Ntune E-man. Maybe it'll set both the clocks at the same time. IDK, I"ll look around and see what people are saying.
Nice getup though! |

So I got home today, to a weird smell in the house.
I know I've smelled it before, but can't remember what it is off the top of my head.
So I put the mail up, walk back to the PC room, where the smell is getting stronger and stronger the closer I get.
When I open the door, it's very overwhelming. And of course, the Quad rig is no longer on.
Haven't messed with it too much, but I know it will not power up at all. I know it wasn't the water loop that made things bad, because there is still a whole res of liquid.
Needless to say, main rig is down for a bit. I just payed $4500 in taxes and insurance for the company, and I'm broke as hell till sometime next week..
So my PPD are gonna drop tremendously. I have 1 GPU going now, no telling when the rest will be put back online..
What a day. |

So the last week or so we been having rolling blackouts in the hood.
Came home today and nobody was crunching, wifey told me the cows were down for about an hour.
@ kk Get well soon buddy! Cause i know your dieing over there.
I had a little scare over here, the e8400 cow would not boot up after the outage, but all is well now.
