F@H Just loaded on Vista laptop - Runs but no display

It wouldn't run at all on 6.03, so I used an earlier 5.03 program.

I'm showing x/500 and x is increasing, so it's working, just no display.

Ideas?

It's a Compaq with a dual T2390 1.86 Gz running Vista. Not ready to run the dual yet.

I'm not sure I understood your answer.

Is F@H not completely compatable with Vista as far as the graphics are concerned? It's crunching in the dark!

Hey chuckie. You have to run it as administrator first time when you run install.bat. After that you can run it as normal user.

What's that got to do with the graphics?

It's working, just no graphics when I click on the icon in the tray.

I'm running the single processor graphic client right now - not the SMP dual processor thing yet.

Ahhhh, okay. You have the same question I had the first time I crunch with the video card/gpu client.

If I am not mistaken you are using the systray client and not the console/dos box client. As you said it is updating and seems to be working according to the log file. You can't see it working because the systray client viewer is still broke, a known issue.

So the bottom line is the gpu client is working but the viewer is still broke dick.

Happy folding Chuck.

I misunderstood you chuckie. I was over at a buddies house, so I had to make it quick.
Glad to hear you got it figured out though.

OK. I've got both cores running as a service - wifey didn't know what hit her - but my member home page is confusing me.

I show 50 days 5 processors and 7 days 3 processors.

Would a dual core show up as 1 processor or two? If that's the case I should show 5 processors total. (2 x 2 duals - all as services, plus one other computer running the regular program.

Is this making sense?

AFAIK, each instance shows up as one core. No matter if it's a dual or single, quad, whatever..
And those things never seem right for me.. IDK why.
